Drawing Anime and Creating a Manga

Well, now go easy on me I haven't visited a forum in a while, I'm going to start a manga. The problem may be that I need assistance. (I will not accept assistance if it involves putting in pornigraphic scenes in my manga) Tips on story (or any ideas on a story) and some tips on art, I'm working on my anime art but I have the basics clear.

To be honest, all I can recommend is to try to come up with the plot yourself and get somebody to draw your art for you?

Well, it all depends on what genre you want your anime to be. I think.

Some things to consider when starting a comic/manga.

I know you said you are working on your art, but just to get this point down and it's a most important point....

CAN YOU DRAW? I don't mean what other people tell you. I don't care if your mom says you're talented, and posts your crayons scribbles on the fridge. Can you honestly draw well enough that it won't be visually appauling to look at. Try to use your own style, don't copy Akira Toriyama (sp?), or some other webcomic/manga artist's style, IE Fred from Megatokyo. If you don't think you can keep up the drawing aspect if your project, try to find someone who you know mostly in person, or very well acquainted with online, to help. Asking unfamiliar people people online will get you almost nowhere, as most artists online will turn you down most fucking "ricky tick". Too many scams out there for them to worry about, most don't like to take their chances with strangers.

As for help with the story, post a short description of the story. Mention some of the things you're not too sure about, ask if anyones interested in lending a hand. You'd get more responses if people know what it was about and see if it's within their interests, and if it's worth helping out for.

I'd also suggest asking in other places more relevent to your needs, art and story communities with people looking to join up with someone else perhaps, because this thread may get locked (not too sure how well this fits with the guidlines on this site, but if the anime art thread can exists this long, I guess this could survive as well).
