Well I made one music video for the site a while back and after watching some videos, my interest has been rekindled.
I'm still a beginner, having forgot most of what I learned previously.
Right now I'm open for suggestions, for some reason I'm assuming action videos are easier, although I don't know how true that is.
I prefer rock music, no Linkin Park please. Actually aside from rap and country I'm pretty open to anything in between, although I think I would have a really hard time with orchestrated music.
Need some help

Skunk anansie (<a href="http://www.skinmusic.net/content/video/ ... Twisted</a>)- Final Fantasy X
3 Colours Red (<a href="http://www.3cr.co.uk/media/music/paralyse.mp3 ">Paralyse</a>)-Appleseed
I hope they help.

Personally from my experience, I've found Drama to be the easiest. Unless you're pretty good with action, beat, rhythm, probably special effects, dunno if I would do it as a beginner. I've made a couple vids and I don't think I'm ready for action yet, but that's just my opinion.
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

Could you give some ideas of what anime you have access to and might make a amv of?

Not much, I don't have a complete series of anything. I have the second vampire hunter D movie, 2 Azumanga Daioh, Blue Seed, Those Who Hunt Elves second season, 1st DVD of Kenshin, and some assorted other stuff.
I have a lot of fansubs of recent series, but my last AMV was a nightmare because of the subtitles.
