Hmm, there's a protagonist who's a pint-size girl who wields a katana sword and has a gruffy voice entity as her assistant. Hmmm, where have I seen this before...? :o

Despite that, the girl's name is Honoka who's basically a mercenary in a desert barren wasteland, and she has breasts (there now you won't go all pedo on her ). I guess you can be thankful that Honoka is not all brooding and such so she does act like a cheerful girl at certain moments. She basically makes her living by slaying a bunch of giant bugs. She also has a computer-in-a-box assistant named Bogey who resides and operates in a tank. The first episode is mostly intro stuff, and it ended with Honoka saving some bishie from getting killed from giant ants.

The animation from Xebec is quite good, and the action scenes with Honoka are really dynamic and pretty cool to look at. The tank is pretty much all 3DCG, but luckily it tries to keep seperate from the 2D stuff. Character designs are pleasing though Honoka sort of reminds of Riku from D.N. Angel (probably they both share the same character designer).

Nothing too extroradinary, but it's seems to be a fun series to check out. Though I find the narrator's voice to be a bit hokey.

I like it, though for just 1 ep, I feel like it's lacking. Has it's cute circumstantial comedic moments though. [like waking Honoka up with a bang to the ceiling]

But the swordfight gun combo is cool.

Why not? I think it's a very effective device.
