Post by Shinodude » Sun Jun 11, 2006 8:37 pm

well I was ripping KH2, I opend up dvd decriptor and selected iso mode then I hit convert after that i got the iso file and I did all the crap you need to do and put it into Nova software extractor but the first iso file I extracted I put into Nova software extractor and no video files apear, but the others work fine. are all the extra minor cut scence in that first iso file or is there just nothing in that file? im missing allot of cut scenes and I wana know how I can get them

Just a heads up;

if you want to get the majority of cut scenes in kh2, you'll have to capture them unfortunately. There are only around 9 cut scenes/fmv's to rip and there are over 300 cut scenes in KH2. To make it worse, of those 9 or so ripable (<--is that a word?) cut scenes, some of them are nothing more than flashbacks of KH1.

So don't be surprised if the results shown on Nova extractor are greatly lower than expected. The opening, ending, and hollow bastion war scene seem to be the only things worth ripping.

Anyways, in regards to ripping kh2, I'd suggest not using dvd decrypter, but Isobuster instead. It'll create an one large iso file of the entire dvd around several gigs in size. Scan that with nova extractor instead. Hopefully that will give you much better results. It did for me at least.

I ripped it, split it into three parts, and used the nova software extractor to search MPG. It worked perfectly for me.

If you don't split the file it won't find anything.

I pray this doesn't lead to another argument but...

you don't have to split the iso up into several parts for nova extractor to find them. But I will admit it does make the scanning process a lot more faster. All you need to do is create the proper iso which should be exactly 3.69 gigs in size.

This is what I got after scanning the entire iso.

The number I circled just shows that what I scanned was the entire iso.

yeah, really.

And for the record, I completely missed your point with that post. What does what you highlighted in my pic have to do with anything?

Yes. I admit I use a bittorrent client for various reasons.

I fail to see how pointing that out proves what I posted wrong. So tell me, do you win all your arguments by making off topic commentary? If that same pic was posted without that tiny little icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, then what would your comeback have been?
