Recording Audio...Not with the microphone!!!

Since you can screencap a video with Fraps or any other video screencapper is it possible to record audio too (without a microphone)? Anyone know a FREE software that I can do this with? :)

Be warned! I've never used these programs myself so if they FUBAR your computer, I can't be held responsible!

Sound Capture 1.0

Freecorder (Adware, I think maybe skip it :( )

You may also want to try the trial versions of Blaze Media Pro or River Past Audio Capture. River Past AC Trial has a 2 minute limit, which if is long enough, may be the best to get.

Um...Windows Sound Recorder. Really, that's it, that's all you need. Just plug a patch cable from your speaker out to the line-in or mic port, then record, easy breezy. You need to make sure that the line-in or mic port is actually selected as the audio-in port though. You can do that by going to the volume control properties, clicking Options, then Properties, then select recording, make sure line-in and microphone are both selected, then hit okay, then select which one you want to use.
