HELP! MPEG2 video appears jerky--don't know why!!!

Post by MysteriousRyder » Mon Apr 23, 2007 10:15 pm

Hi,

I followed VicBond's guide on converting my final huffyuv 23.976 fps video to mpeg2 23.976fps (29.97 internally) with 3:2 pulldown when playback.

But, when I exported the video, it seemed like the video's jerky (like every second, the video would pause a little, as though there's an extra frame?)
It doesn' flow as smoothly as I'd like it. And, the properties show that it's at 768x480 (but I encoded it as 720x480).

I have no idea why my video's like this, even though I followed the instructions.

Please let me know ASAP! My video's due this week! O_O

Forgot to add--

the 768x480 resolution and jerkiness appears when I play my mpeg 2 in Windows Media Player.

Is it just a WMP problem? Should I be playing an mpeg2 on a diff. player?

Try using a different media player like VLC or Media Player Classic. How big is the file?

I think I figured out why.

It's good now. :)

Thanks everyone!
