Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo - Back in Time
So, wow. My first new AMV made in over three years. Things have certainly changed around here. I remember when Old Man Peabody owned alllll of this. He had this crazy idea about breeding pine trees....
Anyway, this is a Fun video, mostly because it fits into no other category. It's not serious, dramatic, or romantic, it's not action-filled or laugh-out-loud comedic, and you know the song Back in Time isn't really a "dance" number, it's just...entertainment. Simple work, very little in the way of effects, original DVD source (I liked the movie enough, I bought the R2), just fairly straightforward and it SHOULD all hang together properly.

That was very enjoyable! I'm actually very reserved when it comes to such simple editing as this, but your clip selection and story-telling balanced that out veeery nicely. Actually, because there's practically no syncing tricks or visible editing, a lot of emphasis is given to the story, which certainly wasn't a bad thing in this case!
Good work! 4/5

Interesting video. This is probably the first one I've seen that didn't have that "mysteriously serious" feel to it, or the "making-fun-of-it comedy" feel either. Just a lighthearted balance that gives you a feel for what this movie has. Video quality is pretty good, too. Overall, nice work on this. I like it.

Yeah, there seems to be more and more lately due to this movie traveling around by word-of-mouth advertising, so there was no big flood right away when the R2 DVD came out. When the R1 comes out (whenever that is), I suspect it'd take off more.CrackTheSky wrote:Even though I'm getting kinda sick of seeing these videos, yours is definitely a positive addition to the growing amount of GWLTT videos.
And yeah, it is somewhat different. Not a character profile or dramatic or parody or anything, but I was actually somewhat surprised that the song choice hadn't been done before. After all, she spends most the movie going Back in Time.
