Interlaced Footage will not get FIXED!!
Ok, this is driving me insane. I've had two EXTREMELY TALENTED editors try and help, to no avail here.
I'm trying with a region 1 source (Saikano) slimpack to edit soemthing, i'm just trying to make my footage smooth, and this, is what i keep getting, no matter WHAT SCRIPT I USE!
Now the normal script i use is just this
mpeg2source("D:\SAIKANO_VOLUME1_DISC1_SCN\VIDEO_TS\test.d2v")
Telecide(order=1,guide=1)
Decimate(cycle=5, mode=2)
I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Help would be much appreciated

forcing film could be your problem.
You shouldn't force film unless the preview run in dgindex tells you that the video type is near 100% film
try indexing again without forcing film, then try using TFM (you have to download it and save it in avisynth's plugins directory)
scroll down until you find TIVTC
General settings that have worked well for me (Qyot27 first introduced these settings to me)
you still need to use mpeg2source with this
TFM(d2v="[insert the path to the .d2v file, just like in mpeg2source]",order=-1,field=-1,mode=5,pp=7,slow=2)

Actually the scene while WATCHING it, is very clean, it's not ghosted (i've watched it far too many times).
It could suffer from blended frames. The only thing is that, I had Nessephanie ask Koopiskeva (because he's used the footage) and he said with the normal script and forced film it worked just fine
(Normal script being simply assumefps(24))

I can't think of a reason then. Unless that's not the full script being used. I also thought maybe it was anamorphic and was being resized prior to the IVTC, but then Anime On DVD's review blew that out of the water by saying Viz's R1 release was hard-letterboxed. The only mention of interlacing problems I could find in reference to Saikano from a cursory Google search on the topic was this video's info page, and it's in reference to accidentally having bought a bootleg copy of the series, and having ghosting present in it after that.
What other settings are being used in DGIndex? Are any of VDub's filters set?

This ISN'T the full release by Viz.
This is one of those slimpack "Perfect Collection" ones. I don't BELIEVE their bootleg, they don't appear to be so, it appears completely legit...
This is the one I have:
