what anime is this?

A long time ago I saw a really weird movie but I didnt get the name of it. In the movie humans are thought of as rodents or little pests by these blue humanoid giants that appear to be at least 100 feet tall to the humans. The giant blue aliens are very intelligent but they look at humans like we look at mice or rats. They keep some of us as pets and the humans running wild need to be exterminated. The alien children dont go to schools to learn they just wear something that looks like headphones and it puts the information they need to know right into their heads. One human boy that is kept as a pet by one of the aliens finds these headphone things and with the knowledge he gains from them he escapes the aliens and gets away from their city. He finds a group of other humans living out in the wild. At first they dont trust him because he is smarter them, then they do trust him, he meets a girl blah blah blah. Anyway near the end of the movie the humans and giant blue aliens start fighting with each other. I dont know how the battle turns out but at the end the aliens build a moon that orbits their planet and they let all the humans go there to live in peace. Also the aliens or whatever they are dont call us humans. They call us trogs or drogs or something like that. I saw it about 6 years ago and even then I could tell it was made a while ago so it was not made recently. Thats about all I remember other than little bits and pieces. Has anyone seen a movie like this? Do you know the name?
