Excel In Concert
Well I had the idea for this video in my head for a long time, but wouldn't attempt it until I had some Photoshopping type experience. This song is so random, and guess what? So is Excel Saga! This was a perfect match there were so many parts in the anime that matched the song perfectly.
And thus, after a lot of hard work, frame by frame... here it is, in it's complete glory! Excel in Concert, with Key, Lord Ilpalazzo, and Excel performing!
Please leave comments or leave opinions, this video has been entered into Sakura Con's 2008 AMV contest, and I would love to know what you all think
And don't be put off by the fact that it is in WMV format, it's just because it makes the file a manageable size so I can upload it here.

Yes, this was awesome. I didn't like the beginning with the four screens, and there were a few times I felt like you left some of the scenes onscreen for a bit too long (like from 1:29-1:36, or 1:59-2:12), but overall this was a really fun, if random video. Nice lip sync, too.
Only thing that could have used some really big improvement was the quality...it's really, really blurry, and some of those zooms just made it worse.
I give this 4/5. Keep up the nice work!

That was quite enjoyable. I was mostly taken in by all the photoshop work, which seems to be what you said was new for you, sooo.. Good job!
I'd give you an x out 5, but I'm new here. I don't feel like a newb should be throwing those out. =P

1:29-1:36, and 1:59-2:12 were meant to be like that, I wanted it like that for the pacing of the video. Also the version uploaded to the org is a smaller version than my High Quality version, that could be part of the quality issues. But yeah, I can see what you mean. Thank you for the feedback!CrackTheSky wrote:Yes, this was awesome. By the "bonus" part... do you mean the end, where it says: "Today's Experiment...Great Success!!" ? Or something else?blabbler wrote:The power of greyskull compels me to download this, will let you know what I think in a bit.
*edit*
That was thoroughly awesome, if a tad short. Fortunately that excel saga bonus stuff was really cool too, which compensated more than adequately.

Outstanding. I think Crackerz about summed up the good points.
But, good sir, we need to have a talk about formatting. For someone who can do all that masking work, I find it hard to believe you couldn't crop out the letter boxing and resize to 640x480, export out lossless, and place in an appropriate codec and container. This did effect your masking, especially at 3:20 where the screen aspect ratio was way off. These are easily correctable, provided you still have your original project files. We can certainly help you do this.
BTW, I worked for AMC Theatres for six years in high school and college (I was a projectionist), and I ADORED your AMV Theatres spoof of the corporate logo. A brilliant touch few will find as amusing as myself, I know.
