WMM: It won't let me add a freakin SONG!

Post by lissaloo101 » Thu Mar 27, 2008 3:01 am

Alright. I finally figured out how to convert my footage into .avi. Yay me.
So now I want to start my vid.
Well, guess what?
Every time I open WMM and import a song and try to use it in my video, the retarded Error Report crap comes up!!!!
I read the sticky. It didn't have the answer I needed.
The video footage is fine. It works perfectly.
I've rebooted countless times and removed garbage off my computer.
NOTHING'S WORKING.
It's probably really simple, but I'm too much of an idiot when it comes to computers and stuff.
Can anyone help? WMM is my only video editing program I have and I'm just itchin' to make an AMV. Dx
:D Hi.

It would still be better to use an uncompressed .wav file. Higher quality and all. :\
(But definitely take Vegas over WMM if you have that option. XD )
... yea ...

Sorry this is kinda late, but i thought i'd put my two sense in.

If you downloaded the song off itunes you won't be able to import it into wmm. Some versions of windows actually comes with an audio converter. I run on a Windows XP media home edition(after finding out that vista sucks) and mine comes with the converter. It doesn't do a whole lot of file types, but it does the basic popular ones. I'm not sure right now but i think it's wmv,mp3, and two other kinds. You can also download an audio converter at www.download.com . If you type in "audio converter" you should find a solid program that you can use at least even if it's for 30 days. Hope th at helps!
