`ello there xD
I present you...my first Romance AMV *throws party*. I would really appreciate your opinions and even some serious criticism which I'll definitely take into account if I'll ever make another one some other time.

I finished it almost a month ago, but finally uploaded it today.

Hmmm, there were considerable problems with this one but I see the hidden potential :D

First of all, the first thing that I was distracted by were the cuts and fade-outs without fade-ins. It started out with cross-fades, which was fine, but when you started doing the fade-out, it felt just wrong O.o Especially because the song didn't really call for it at all. Also, pay attention to sharp cuts between all the fading. It was distracting here.. This video needed more plain cross-fading and fade-out-fade-in's, imo.. I didn't really get the effect you used as a special transition on some beats either..

Also, I can see why you used those angst scenes quite a lot. They went with the mood so well, but because there was no coherent story whatsoever, it all felt quite meaningless. It doesn't need a chronological plot or something like that, but just simple logical sense of continuation in your clips ;) If you show the same character in five different places with different facial expressions in a row, it's more than likely for the viewer to get confused and distracted.

I liked how you started this out with Hiroki's depression and loneliess but from that point on the video didn't really seem to go anywhere. It was more or less just a montage of dramatic expressions and pretty scenery in a very illogical order with no sense of continuation whatsoever O.o So, I would suggest keeping your clip selection more coherent. Your mood sync was decent enough though. Their expressions matched the mood =P Anyway, just watch some good romance videos out there and analyze them out. I'm not saying you need to copy them but I can assure you analyzing is helpful

2/5

Uhm...yeah, well, that hidden potential is too hidden and it doesn't look like it wants to come out anytime soon >_>.

About what you said...The first fade out was like that in the movie, so I thought I'd tag along with it. The reason why I didn't use fade-ins was that I intended to make an entrance on beats, or on lyrics. That hardly worked, though. And yeah, some of the blur transitions went a little off-synch after I rendered the whole thing.

You know, this is like the second or third time I get told about the way I choose my clips :|. Which is bad, lol. Need to work on it and improve it.

And thanks a lot for commenting and giving advice xD.

It was pretty interesting , would have to agree what Emong said. The scene choosing was good if it had mood sync , pace envolve I would say 5/5 but you did well had potential.
