Wow I couldnt compress if my life depended on it

Ya im trying to compress my amv. And Ive been trying everything. All I get is a bigger file size or only a tiny bit smaller. Im just trying to get a small file .avi , xvid compression. If someone could teach me or give me some steps on basic compression, so the file size isnt 200 MB 0.o Ya Im not too good with the techy stuff, so Id appreciate it. I have amv app btw. And Im using Vegas.

Are you exporting it from vegas as a lossless codec and putting the .avs in VDubMod? etc.

Be sure that you're compressing your audio as well as your video. And maybe pull down your video bitrate some. Maybe like, 1600ish Kbits/s~? I dunno, that number is kind of a guess.

Ahh, it's been so long since I've gotten to do that.
