[HELP] DVD Rip : Audio Unsynched // AE does not read WAV?!

Post by [Mike of the Desert] » Wed Aug 20, 2008 9:20 am

I have never came into such a strange problem in my whole life, and I'm worried since I really do Care about this project of mine. I'm recording Playtroughs of VideoGames trough my Television to an HDD, then saving it to DVD-Video and then Decrypting it using Guides/Experience and so on.

I get my d2v, then my Avs, then my AVI.
First of all, the Audio and the Video are unsynched, and I've tried both Laga and Huffyuv for compression (Using Fast Recompress and even trying the Full Process), nothing change.

The audio is demuxed as .ac3, but even making it .WAV After Effects (Both 6.5 and CS3) Doesn't read the Video's Audio neither the Wav alone.. The ac3 file isn't even accepted. Same goes if I convert (Brr) the Wav to Mp3, AE does not read it. My computer have installed the AmvApp, CCCP and Divx/Xvid.

What can I Do?
Why is so hard to just have an Avi and a Wav File to Edit with?
Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

In the past I have had problems with AE reading audio, and it was a problem related to quicktime. You might want to check that.
Also are your wav files uncompressed PCM audio, or are they compressed wavs?
