Although both of them would be tribute to Lala & Rito, they would have different themes:

I saw a AMV that lasted around 1 minute and a half and it showed the relationship between Lala and Rito with the song "Almost Lover" by "A Fine Frenzy". This song is a sad one a bit (check lyrics below in Spoiler Tag). I wish it was completed, though.

Those kind of lyrics would seem like something that Lala (the lead female character) would say if she was sick of waiting for Rito's love in return, since in the series, she loves him truly, madly and deeply. You see, their relationship is so complicated with Rito (the lead male character) who's already in love with another girl in the story, Haruna (which Lala isn't aware of in the anime version.) I believe if the relationship of Rito and Lala would end up with the two of them being separated in a sad matter, this song would probably described it in the best of ways: as they would have become "Almost Lovers."
The second AMV of the same couple would be on the song "A little more time on you" from N'Sync.

I think this song would fit in AMV that would show Rito discovering how truly Lala is beautiful from her heart. It would be like, at the beggining, Lala would always be joyful and all around Rito, but would be also be, over time, compassionate and so caring about him pushing him to develop feelings towards her.
