How do you do it?
This question is more directed to the older editors who have seen it all and done it all but still open to anyone who has a opinion. The question is how do you continue to make AMVs? or even have interest in them? I'v seen a lot of people who just give up on AMVs and take it as a joke or just don't care about it anymore and i think its mostly because they ran out of ideas for AMVs. So what do you guys do that keeps you editing? I'v been editing since 2006 and i have to say..it does get a bit boring after a while.

I never run out of Ideas. Just motivation. When that happens, well, that's what my 2500 hour library of games is for. I always get the urge again after a few weeks.

Ah, it appears that you have caught the ever-contagious amv block. This is just a hobby, so if ur bored, take a break... don't force yourself to continue something you dislike. I believe, however, that during this break you'll hear some awesome song that matches perfectly to this anime, and as the day prolongs you'll be envisioning an amv with the two. This vision will continue to grow on you till you feel the dire urge to edit.
Or maybe you'll just get bored.
Either way then, welcome back.

I've mostly lost interest in anime... but I love music videos. So I keep hanging around. I still have a lot of ideas for videos I want to do, but I honestly don't know when or if I will ever get them done. I just don't have that much motivation anymore. But maybe that motivation will come back sometime, and when it does, I'll still be here, waiting for it.

Also, I'm getting into live action sources more lately. Keeps things fresh and it's more interesting than anime.

It's the only thing I'm good at... which is subjective.

Re: How do you do it?
it helps if you keep watching more anime series, then as you watch the new series you remember songs that would make a good amv with them.
