I have never liked One Peice. I watched it WAYYY back when it was on cartoon network, and sat through MAYBE 4-5 episodes before I gave it up. I've never liked a single Once Peice AMV for the same reason. It's the artwork. I just can't take it seriously. >.>

That being said, this was pretty good. I had to wiki some stuff to figure out why the hell that girl [Nami I think?] stabbed herself in the arm, but overall you really caught the mood well. I feel inclined to re-check out the series after watching this, but then I remember that the American version RAPPED their opening song. /end

just a quick clarification on that point, the rape of One Piece was done by 4 Kids. DON'T WATCH THAT VERSION.

Funimation is redoing the whole series UNCUT and their choice of voice actors is perfect they're really doing an awesome job in re-releasing it so i encourage you to give it another chance.

AND I AGREE about the character design/animation. i really used to think it was outlandish, but it's the epic story and awesome characters that's kept my interest. and i'm actually discovering a lot of great things about the animation that i'm practicing drawing. biggest thing would be the perspective shots (something i've never been good at).

It was the 4kids one I probably ended up watching on CN. >.> I might give it another shot if they're doing it in english uncut. Because to be frank, it felt like a kid's cartoon like Spongebob to me when I watched it eons ago. /facepalm
