Vegas 9.0 - Rendering widescreen in WMV format :<
Got a bit of a problem with Vegas Movie Studio 9.0... I need to render my amvs in WMV format, but when I change the frame size to 720 x 480 it renders with a frame size of 720 x 576, and the video looks slightly distorted :< anyone know how I can make it render in 720 x 480 without changing the format?

Make it 1.0(square) so it comes out 720x240

It's trying to make the video of a PAL resolution. The NTSC Widescreen PAR setting is correct, just make sure it's not trying to adapt the resolution to PAL instead. If you want to go with the 1.0 PAR then render at something like 848x480, otherwise just double check the settings.

If you see a PAL somewhere, check the dropdown menu and pick the appropriate NTSC voice instead. A screenshot of your exporting window would probably help making things clearer, though, I'm not exactly sure how it's looking for you right now.

no, the Pixel aspect ratio is wrong, it is set to HD 1080 instead of NTSC. The framerate should be whatever your input and project are, so I would guess likely 23.976. The Pixel aspect ratio should be... 1.184 maybe, I forget atm. >_<

There wasn't a NTSC aspect ratio option on the dropdown menu, only 1080p and some thing else (i forget what)
