  • O_O 2012-03-04 01:16:14 I just got a comment on one of my really old amvs that is on youtube from somebody actually in the band of the song I used saying they liked it! This amv is horrible- bottom of the barrel, subtitles dvix logos, not to mention horribly edited...so I'm feeling a strange mix between extremely honored and somewhat embarrassed. But still cool!! Eeek!! x_x  
  • Ballet! 2012-02-12 02:05:50 Just got home from seeing the Monte Carlo Ballet perform Prokofiev's Cinderella!
    Not exactly what I expected...I knew they were staging a contemporary performance, but I didn't think the modernity of the scenery and costumes would seep so heavily into the choreography. It was more modern dance than ballet, which is just not my cup of tea. Instead of telling the story they employed a "story within a story" which was an interesting but occupied the music usually danced by the seasonal fairies. So essentially they took out all the "pointless but beautiful" parts of the ballet and replaced it with something equally pointless but lacking in the beautiful department. Also, there wasn't a live orchestra (sigh). It's just not the same with prerecorded music. Ah, well. Either way it was an interesting show and a fun night out.

    In other news (somewhat related to ballet however!) I finally finished my newest amv! So if you're bored and like Princess Tutu, then check it out :D

  • Beta test anyone? 2012-01-23 02:51:57 Hi there,

    Looking for anybody who might be interested in beta testing a new video I've been working on. I'm really nervous about this one...but I need to stop babying it and get some real feedback. I'd really appreciate any suggestions and opinions anybody has to offer. I'm mostly worried about sync and some timing/flow issues since I can be really bad at those sometimes x_x
