  • To finished Roto 2017-04-28 22:29:36 So after finishing the rotoscoping I thought "well what do I do now?"

    http://i.imgur.com/pbDq6rf.png

Turns out 25 other videos in a grid works pretty damned well.

The render time will be a bitch and I still got 4 more screens to add but I wanna test out how this looks. Tomorrow after work I will post a link to my Youtube channel WITH the rotoscope and a download link so yous can all use it!

    Please Enjoy
  • Rotoscoping pt 5- Hope of expansion 2017-04-27 00:30:45 Y'know... I love TV shows like the stuff in the DCEU and MCU movies but its hard to put them on Youtube of here since id be hit with the ban hammer on YT and well... its not an option on here.

    But the rotoscoping:

    http://i.imgur.com/ITniIZJ.png

Let me explain these Arrows now:
    1) That starts at the very begining and is everything that side of the sword (It technically starts between the legs)
    2) So this guy starts off the current frames and is a small subsection under the jacket on the right hand side.
    3) (No colour as It all blended) is that huge one between the blue sword and kirito - It started at the very beginning of the clip and lasts to the very end. Most Brutal mask yet
    4) This is also off screen but only appears for a second between the left elbow and leg.
    5) By far the easiest mask at 5 frames between the hand and the grip. If I ever let it pass through I would have never liked this video.
    6) I am working on 6 right now and it is the very BACK of the clip - it will be a troubling mask

Now for 2 masks that have not been started:

    1) Top of the right sword and left of the blue sword. HOPEFULLY another simple mask
    2) Between the back arm and head. As I started a while back i only just saw this and it wont be too hard but it will be in constant movement

    **A few hours later**

    Oh my god its done.

I have just 30 frames to cut out and BANG - no background at all.
I wish I could have keyed it out but nah man - too many 24bit colours.

Decided to check my bank and i've been paid from work as well so I guess I should donate like I said I would:

This site has done nothing for me - but it has let me post about my progress and I guess a few people have been interested so I think thats decent enough.

    **1 hour later**

    OMFG Its done.

The top mask was the easiest. Just had to go to the final frame, mask it out then go to the 1st frame where above the sword is visible and BOOM just move the mask off the scene and make those 2 keypoints.

    It matched Perfect :')
  • Just an update this time 2017-04-24 07:46:38 So If you have been following me recently you may have seen my rotoscoping video & posts.

I have to do 6 frames on the red - track the yellow and make 2 more and I will post the clip on my Youtube channel with a link here for all.

Just so yous can use it.

I might get some done tonight I am unsure - need to see how I feel after work but I hope I can get more done as I am actually enjoying it. Yeah its painful but its rewarding.

Feel free to read more on my rotoscoping in my other posts. ANyway, I got a lunch to get before I head to work.

  • Just when I thought I was done (Rotoscoping Pt. 4?) 2017-04-23 23:01:54 So firstly guys I did this for yous
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnxYPTiDsRg

1 Hour recorded just to show how much I done and I found out I now have ANOTHER mask to make
  • Whole Right Side and how I did the 1st mask (Rotoscoping Pt.3) 2017-04-22 22:54:25 So its 3:06am right now and ive gotten THIS far

    http://i.imgur.com/tvCWxVe.png

    Let me just summarize:

I got in form work at 11:05pm and made a pizza and ate that bad boy - It was then 11:45pm and I hit the start button and typed "Rotosco" and up came ROTOSCOPING.AEP.
I moved up 5 frames and set my anchor.

An anchor as I call it is a reference point that is distinct to the clip - in this clip it was the curve just after the floral design on the hilt of the sword. Every frames I would drag that point of the mask back to the footage to make a point in the timeline so that way I could take out 1 step from every addition: Double clicking the mask and pushing the Down arrow key to move a few pixels to get it back in line.

So currently I have lost that reference point and my new anchor is where the back sword intersects the foreground sword as it is a nice 90* angle and I have started the back arm.

I also went into the little tight nook between the Background leg and the foreground arm as it is only visible for 3 seconds and only fluctuates in size for about half of that (every 2 frames it gets bigger then smaller whilst retaining a hexagonal shape)

So it looks a bit like this in the timeline (http://i.imgur.com/tvCWxVe.png)
Masks 1 and 2 are finished masks---

    ****
    3:21AM

So it turns out that amending Mask 1 at 1 single point f***ed up part of it near the end. Since its just a small issue I am working on fixing it. If you see it in the image and how it stopped following the outline? Alls I have to do is select about 8 little squares on every reference point and pull them down along the outline and this can be done in bulk :D
    EZ EZ!

    ****
    3:25AM

Yeah it was 8 and 8 frames that messed up - just gonna do a quick scrub and add 2 more points and it looks good now.

    Where was I

    ---------
    ●So masks 1 and 2 are now finished -
    ●Mask 3 is estimates at about 80%
    ●Mask 4 is 30% estimated finished
●Masks 5 AND 6! are not even started (Behind the Right arm and above the black sword)

If I can chug enough Rockstar (unlikely as its finished now) and remember where my rolling tobacco is (Cuz I have 3 branded cigs left) and my arm does not give out I could get the rest of this mask finished tonight.

But I won't. I'm gonna watch SPLIT as even just fixing 5 frames up is painful and long - if you ever have any experience doing this you will know.

But I will be a total babe for any and all of my readers here.

TOMORROW I will record a 1 hour clip (and speed that shit up) and show you just how much work you get done in 1 hour. Ill even put the AMV song in the background for yous to listen to and link it here.

I think after I have done that I will make headway on the video bulk as the current timeline looks like this:

The 1st effect (seen in the preview) was 2 SIMPLE masks that took not even 5 mins
    http://i.imgur.com/xWZzqjq.png
I just made a slight outline on both ends and kept the top (just so I could hide the frame of both of the other clips behind it like a blend) brought the mask in by 40 pixels and added an 46 pixel feather to each end so that way everything came together ensemble to look more professional - and on that note I just say I was 2 pixels out at the top so keen eyed viewers will see the split.
I NOW NEED TO RE-RENDER THIS SCENE! 。・゚・(ノД`)ヽ
But yea in the picture on Orange marker 2 (beginning of the first empty space) is where thie current clip I am working on is going... Like 2 weeks for 5 seconds. I thought movie editors were takin the piss but nah man - im moaning about 5 seconds to total strangers adn those lads the real MVP - 2 hour Marvel films!

Anyway my idea here is a set piece (again). The lyrics are

-I Cannot stop this -- Sickness taking over-
Basically I want to have Kirito using dual swords in all of the panels. I remember an old video I made and if I can find the project download website I can use this clip again. Its like 40 TV screens and you can add your own videos to it. I want to overlay that in the background.

But I have shared enough for today - its now 3:50AM.

I'll catch you lads and lads later - any questions mail me here or comment on any YT Video i have (thats under 1 million views (That will not be hard by the way))

    Catch ;)
