  • Oh my god!!!! AAAAARGGGHHHH!!!! 2001-12-11 04:08:35 We have been going over all this on the Otaku Vengeance message board... appropriately titled by me originally...

    and that weeping involves alot of head hurting... yeah painfully stupid arguments... NOT on the OV mboard...we have those occasionally but generally its a cool place... no the links are whats killing me..

    now if you go to that link you'll find a concerned parents top 10 signs that your son is a computer hacker.... now your saying "hey thats no so bad... parents should know that kind of stuff"....
    then you start reading... one of the giveaways of hacker activity is asking for computer upgrades.... another is even worse.... Seems that if your child shows interest in Linux or linux systems that is a prime sign of hacker activity... after seeing some of these signs first hand the writer has banned his son from the computer till he learns responsibilty for his actions.... .
    AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHH...... man these people had better just be Bullshitting or this is truly sad...

    now the one you anime folks will boil over... I really recommend you don't read this.. its soooooooo slanted and fragments and terrifyingly idiotic and close minded....

    This is someones (god I hope he's joking) carefully reasoned argument as to why anyone interested in anime is also interested in child pornography..... now I told ya... it will make your head hurt...
    I'm done looking at it... I just can't read anymore or my faith in certain segments of the human population will be shaken for good...

    oh I took my Key video (completed yet unfinished) over to the Otaku Video meeting and got some good quality feedback from TJ and Quu (thanks again guys) As for how much work I have to do now? eh.. depends.. if I had to ascribe a number to the work I'd say its 85% or maybe a little less... all depends on how much I intend to change around after this initial showing...

    anyways... finals tommorow.. I have taken a few pictures of my Mahogony (sp?) wood sculpture final for Advanced Sculpture.... I'll post those digital images tommorow of my Ceramics final (big ass wheel thrown bowls)as well as anything else I nab an image of between now and then....  
  • OV Back in aCtion! 2001-12-09 14:30:35 yep... up and running again... our new site design hasn't made its appearance yet but it will at some point.. for now the videos are up and thats the most important thing...

    secondly Vig is no longer with OV although he will always be welcome and there is not really any reason for his leaving... nothing bad anyway.. ;)

  • tag team action....... 2001-12-08 17:27:49 I am switching between working on stuff for finals....my second wood sculpture for my Advanced Sculpture class and my Key the metal Idol video...

    I'm spending alot more time on my wood, but still I'm making progress on my key video again.... I'm nearing the big ending of the video.. the culmination of the song and where I get to use some fast paced clips... :)

    current progress is:::: 2:34 out of a 3:30 long song....

    its nearly creepy enough that no one around here will give me feedback..... ah the baby's crying probably did it....

    Went and saw Oceans Eleven last night with my Girlfriend and my sister and some friends... Good movie.. falls into the same league as The Thomas Crown Affair, Gone In 60 seconds.... just for sheer slickness....
    you know how after watching Gone in 60 sec. you felt like maybe even you could go out and steal cars.. hehe..
    kinda how you feel after watching Ocean's Eleven....

    ahhh... yeah.. it was an enjoyable movie... nothign really mind breaking or anything like that.... just somethign to occupy time... :)

  • Otaku Vengeance up soon.... 2001-12-07 16:16:20 I got all my videos uploaded to the new server.... both mpeg and divx forms.... we actually save bandwidth offering two file formats somehow....

    when the site goes back up officially I will change all my links to indirect (something my host hates in direct links from other sites)... on here.....

    I am considering posting the link to my short Bebop video here in my journal... hmmmm... I bet I could get away with it just this once.. especially since the site isn't running right now and time is wasting with these being up but no one downloading them...

    and thats it.. just was.. well really bored and impressed with the flexibility of the figures... I tend to collect any figures that have lots of detail to them.... or if I just really like them.... Most Mcfarland Figures I have are sitting in boxes since they aren't very poseable.... The Trigun figure is Monav The Gale..... the guy in black is Gatts(guts)-Black warrior... the guy in the red cloak is Gatts(guts)-Hawks Soldier.

    don't ask about the dialog.. I am not high... just bored....

    that would have been alot of fun if I was high or drunk though...

    hmmm... ah well.. back to working on stuff for finals....
