  • Well, isn't that special? 2003-09-24 17:11:55 I got my first opinion today. Go me!

Er... Perhaps not... it was a pretty bad review. I admit, I was pretty riled up about it for an hour or so. I'm still mildly irked, but I'm pretty much over it. One thing I'll say for the dude/chick that gave his/her opinion: they know how to spot lack of effort. I think I spent more time playing MegaMan 8 to get the cut-scenes than I did actually editting Ode To Megaman.

While I do largely disagree with the review (which could, ironically, be my pride talking), I did learn from it, and that's what the opinion thingy is for, right? I already know that I need to plan out my videos more (id est, at all), but I've now come to the conclusion that I need more than that. I was watching Tarage's videos (which kick-ass, by the way), and I realized that what I need to do is put something in my videos that really makes them stand out. Nicely arranged clips just won't get me anything above par, and thus far, my clips haven't even been nicely arranged. I need either a unique visual flair, or I need to tell a coherent story. Knowing me and my technical limitations, I'll probably be going for the latter most of the time.

So... yeah... I'm out. (great, now I sound like a dork again)
