Pornography....is it free speech?

The purpose of this speech is to persuade the audience that pornography should not be censored as severely as it is today because of our first amendment right : ?Freedom of Speech.?
One of the most cherished ideas that we have in this country is that there should be uninhibited public debate and freedom of speech. The question that has arisen several times within our country is whether a public figure?s right to censoring this type of content should outweigh the public?s own interest in allowing every United States citizen to freely express his or her views.
When dealing with pornography, people have the right to express their own views on the subject. They have the right to say that somebody (mostly dealing with the catholic church) who has campained against this type of content with censorship, ads on not to buy it, and who has publicly stated that it posions the minds of people and is immoral. The Pornography industry itself has every right to publicly respond that their first amendment rights are being endangered. It is true that the first amendment is a very important value but not the only value in our society. Most argue that good people should be able enter public life and public services without having to deal with these issues. Most say that their should be a line somewhere when it comes to pornography, thus, censorship is brought into action.
In my opionion, there should be no line at all for pornography because if there was, then we would be dealing with taste and not law. It?s useless to argue about taste and even more useless to litigate it, which seems to be the current case of pornography and censorship. Really, all censorship is doing in our lives is punishing unpopular speech, in this case, pornography. This country is founded on the firm belief that unpopular speech is vital to the health of our nation because it allows the ideas of others to have life in our society. At the heart of the first amendment is the recognition of the fundamental importance of the free flow of ideas.
The freedom to speak one?s mind about his or her ideals is not only an aspect of individual liberty but essiential for the quest for truth and the vitality of society as a whole. In the world of debate about pornography, many things done with motives less than admirable are nonetheless protected by the first amendement.
Well, this is a rough draft of my persuasive speech for class on thursday.

Stress is the way I get things done

Whoa.
Let's see, I averaged about 5 hours or less a night this entire week O_O.
Our teachers thought it would be funny to put all of our finals in one day of testing.
Plus my 17 page research paper was due today plus my Quarter Project (usually a movie that I spent hours upon hours of editing on).
DAMNIT!
I managed to get the website back but I've had no time to update the media. I have no idea what I'm going to do as far as webhosting goes. I may have to go back to computer serving. Damn.
What to do?
The only thing keeping me sane right now is Hannah. Here's something that will get me through the day. Just talking to her is enough to get me through.
Time to go back to work.
Time to get back to stress. -
Today was a good day

Let's see.
School flooded with work again as usual. Dear Lord I'm gonna die of stress soon. To top it off I was having dinner with Hanna's grandparents tonight (something like that Meet the Parents thing).
Hehe, I was so nervous when I got to ther house, I hadn't really sat down with her Grandparents before so it was itme to get my feet wet. For some reason all I could was hope nothing bad woudl happen. Unfortuantly, I was acting like a dork as usual. They served chicken for dinner. Her grandparents and her brother all they did was talk about horses so I'm here eating like pretending to be interested. Then when I start to dig in to my dinner, I was so nervous that I thought these people would be applaud from my eating habits and for some odd reason I started to eat the chicken with my knive and fork.
I have never seen so many weird looks in one room looking at me. Hanna's Grandpa told me "You know, you do have hands to eat the chicken." I couldn't help it, I burst out laughing inside cause I was acting like a total goof ball but luckily everyone laughed so that was a relief. I told them I was just trying to be funny.....hahah yea RIGHT!
After dinner, I went over to Hanna's room and she showed me her new Laptop. Very nice! I also go her to sign up at www.aninemusicvideos.org too =).
Hahah funny thing is she put MindWarp ET as her studio. Haha all I did was laugh. I helped her out with the dishes afterwards. Haha funny thing is that she told me to run off and play Xbox because dishes were a women's job. Good God, if only that were somewhat true...but of course in today's society women always want social independence....but oh well...haha I still helped her anyway. =). Haha we act a married couple sometimes.
Then of course, she took some sexy pictures of me (apperantly they are for her digitl photo class but who knows what women think these days).
Then I kissed her goodbye and I left home where I started work again =(.
Jonathan re-opend his doors over at www.randomvariable.net. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship =).
