I'm still a little weired out, altho with all the other shit my mom has done, hiding my sister seems like just another thing. She totally lucked out, having a family with 2 parents. I want to see her again this weekend, while she is still in California. I went to woek today, altho I REALLY didn't feel up to it. I got a migraine hlfway thru dinner last nite, and it didn't go away til lunch today. I just feel like my life is changing again, and I have no control, and it's a little scary. Also I facebooked a man I think was my dad, We'll see. I want to write more, but I also want to work thru my feelings more. I feel similar to when my boss died, like it's not really real yet. Also, I'm a little drunk & need a hug, Eric is working late tonite.

Today, I became an aunt. I got this phone call from my Mom 20 minutes before I was supposed to take off work, and she's all nervous, and says there's something she needs to tell me, but I need to be sitting down. So I was freaked out all day at work, think everyone has cancer, she's been robbed, someone has died, etc. Turns out she had a baby before me, when she was 18, and gave it up for adoption. No one ever told me, not even my Grandparents. Even so, I'm not all that surprised. This isn;t the first big secret, after all. So I go & meet them tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, but not really.
Also I went grocery shopping. I now have my pesto bowls, Framboise & ramune. They will see me through this life-changing episode. Wonder what ever happened to my Dad..... -

My weekend.
Friday I did al my chores, including cleaning out the storage unit. Who woulda thought it would all fit in the garage & on the porch? Eric was shitty & yelling at me, so we hung out in separate parts of the house. I read webcomics & he played Team fortress 2, Later that night, I went down to Long Beach & hung out with Ankur & his roommates while Eric did whatever.
Also, Claudine's (one of Eric's many bosses from the pool) husband died in a motorcycle accident. Don't know details yet. I never met the guy, but Claudine is upset. too bad, she's a nice woman. So Eric will have to work at the pool to cover her shifts while she grieves this week, maybe next week too.
Saturday was Roseleen's birthday. I learned I do not know how to properly spell her name after I wrote her card in pen. That morning, Eric took me out to breakfast, then we got ice cream & cards at the rite aid. Eric went to work for a meeting, & I watched the Sex & the City movie with his Mom. I haven't seen a chick flick in a long time, and I loved it. It's so much better than on cable, with all the sex parts not cut out. I really relate to the character of Samantha in a lot of ways, but also to Carrie & her plight with the wedding. What is it with men freaking out over 1 commitment? It's totally universal. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the hot naked shower scene with Dante the neighbor. And all his other scenes ;)
I could've killed Leslie when she said I wasn't dressed for PF Changs! I know my high school gym shorts aren't exactly formal, but come on! So we had Chinese take out. Roseleen came over & we ate dinner. She apologized for being rude or offending me, which I didn't really get, she's just always like that. It was a nice visit, got some pics from my cell camera.
Sunday I slept in late & went to Long Beach. I hung out with Nikki all day!!! It was SO much fun! We ate at George's, went shopping downton, drove to Newport & Fashion Island, I got pants, we went back to her place & hung out. I co-ordinated my friends Aarti & Arvind to meet at yogurtland, which meant I was on the phone for like half an hour trying to get them in gear so we could hang before it got too late. It was fun seeing everyone together again. I hadn't seen Arvind since he came over for the deep fried hockey party, and apparently Nikki & him never met. Awesome day.
Then I went to work today, came home, watched Kemonozume & slept. -

I discovered Space Moose last night.

According to the internet, it's very violent and offensive, but it reminds me of the comics we used to have in the CSULB newspaper, the Grunion. The comics page was generally badly drawn, often confusing, filled with characters the screwed each other, a really angry little girl, and one specifically about weed. It was awesome that the school would let them print that. The other, more serious newspaper the Daily 49er, was more for the alumni than the students and had no comics. The Grunion used to be so cool. It was printed on newsprint and oversized, filled with music & movie reviews & concert times, stories about campus life as seen from the students, the cool events that the student union had planned (the friday the 13th movie screening was awesome. At one point, the ancient projector turned the picture upside down & backwards.)
I used to grab a copy every Monday, and just hang around on campus between classes & read it, usually in the music listening lounge. Sadly, the lounge is now a bank. Apparently, too many people were having sex in the beanbag chairs. I used to go in the dark room & sleep & enjoy the music & the blacklight posters, but hey, if you want to do it covered in 2 sweaty beanbag chairs that countless other people have been in -today-, more power to ya.
Anyway, the lounge had 2 parts, the front looked like the campus radio station, posters everywhere, tables & chairs to sit & chat with friends, dig dug arcade game.

Week went fast.
Thursday night Eric's aunt Patty & her sister Peggy came down from San Jose. I got off work, cleaned up & we all went to a Mexican restaurant. It was good, I had the Mexican version of shrimp cocktail. More liquid than I'm used to. Karna stopped by, has a taco, and left. It was a nice evening.
Yesterday, it was Kurt's 60th B-day, so there was a huge party at the Moose Lodge. It was cute decorated, Hawaiian theme. I brought little sugar pineapple and surfboards and palm trees for the cake. When we got to Leslie's house, there was much girl dressing up. I wore my new dress/shirt that only works as a dress with leggings. According to Patty, the reason they keep sliding down it because they are a size too small. It was so cute watching them get dressed up. For a couple of old broads, they clean up nice ;) So we all pile in the car to go to Costco, which is still open, because it is not, as Leslie feared, Saturday yet. It just felt like Saturday because no one worked. Eric, who would go into work at 8 p.m. and stay until 4 am, took a nap until later. We all thought he wasn't coming! So we get to Costco, and Peggy and I are waiting in line to save a space for Leslie & the cake. I've never spent time alone with Peggy, so I'm trying to get a feel of her personality. We get a call from Leslie at the bakery; they lost the cake. So we run back and find that they did a different cake, but it will still work out ok. We go back to the line, and this time each of us take a different line to see which will go fastest. Mine won, so Leslie & Patty cut in. The guy behind us is very understanding.
So we get to the Moose Lodge, no parking. Luckily Kurt's house is 2 doors down, so Leslie drops off me, Patty, Peggy and the cake. First person we see is Karna, who I give a huge hug and then the cake. I then greet Pam & Gene, who are standing very close & clearly uncomfortable. For having a wild younger past, Pam has gotten very tame in her 60s. So I go in & see Kurt, who already has a beer in hand. This is a good sign, because it means I can drink, too :) So we go to the bar, everyone orders drinks, Leslie hands me a 20, and I pick up the bar tab for the night on my card. I was very good, and only had 3 drinks: tequila sunrise, heiniken, and a jaager bomb. Basically, I drunk so I wouldn't get too crazy & I'd be able to drive later. For a while Pam & Gene & Leslie & Eric & I sat around the table looking for people & eating chex mix, then Karna announced the food was ready. It was surprisingly less packed than I imagined, but the DJ was good, so it was fun. The ribs were awesome, and I got a donut. The cake ended up not being used for the whole party, but it will be frozen and brought out again for Kurt's actual birthday (which is during a horseshoe tournament and therefore will not be a huge party.)
At 8 Eric left, & I felt sad. Pam & Gene also left, so I went & danced next to Keelie & Kurt. Watching them dane together made me start to miss my own grandpa. Patty and a few other people were also dancing in a circle to the DJ, and Kurt was singing really loudly to Cheeseburger in Paradise and Old Time Rock & Roll. It was nice to see Keelie having such a good time. I get the feeling she's not as happy when she goes home to her dad, so I wish her the best as often as she can.
Later, this super drunk dude was dancing with Patty. He was barely able to stand, and then April told patty "Did you know the guy you were dancing with was drunk?" Patty was just like "Ya think?" Poor April, everyone was not talking to her last night. Apparently, she was a drunk bitch the previous night and everyone was still mad about that. I tried to be polite to her anyway.
When I went outside to escape the heat, I met a new person named Gigi. She was telling me a bunch of cool stories about her life & her 4 husbands. Her best story was about her niece. The niece was in a taxi, telling the driver she was going to this guy's house, and her had 10 minuted to get his shit & leave or she was going to kill him. The driver was freaking out, saying calm down, let's get you a coffee, but she said no. they get to the house, the driver peels away. She meets the wife, says I;m here to see so & so, the guys comes out, packs, leaves, and never comes back.
So the party winds down & the cleanup begins. I'm barely able to stand at this point, still a little tipsy & my feet absolutely killing me. I do try to help take down the decorations & clean the tables bit, but I'm mostly a hostage because I didn;t drive. So after a couple hours of taking last minute pics & talking to Patty, we g, I drive to Launch & see Eric (narrowly avoiding a speeding ticket on so unnamed road) then go home. Thad has his wanna be girlfriend over, and she has parked in my space. Not cool, but I head over to the 99 cent store becuz Eric will be home late & need parking anyway.
Today, we went to the beach for a while. It was more beautiful than it's been in quite a while. Eric left, & because nice weather always make me sleepy, I took a nap
I'm still learning Daz 3D, because I want to make a better webcomic like Blood Bound, and also I want to animate Unit 1 in 3D. So far, I got a model to open and I've posed her, but I haven't figured out how to customize the face, load other models, or use the camera. Rigging and 3D modeling would be useful skills to have for work.
I gotta finish part one of this, then maybe I'll take another nap or something.
