  • oh goodie, more fraud, false advertising and unethical business practices 2003-11-28 19:48:47 don't shop at the Nature's Jewelry website
    they will try to rip you off

    i got the latest catalog, and there were some neat socks in there, and they had a deal on pages 44 through 46 of the Yuletide 2003 catalog, code 114565:

    "3 or more pairs only $4.98 each! 2 or more pairs only $5.98
    each!..."

    the regular price is $7.98, i went to the webosite and only the
    "2 or more pairs only $5.98 each!..."
    was listed, i tried to order 4 pairs, right before i was about to totally complete my order i looked at the total cost again and it was $36.87-they wanted to charge me the full price

    the total should have only been $23.87!! with shipping!!

    i have email beck and forth with their 'help' department, and they are not going to fix the prices on the website, but if i order the sock, then AFTER they overcharge me, they will then look into the possibilty of there being a pricing mistake.....

    i mean DUH...its the price from THEIR catalog, why can't they look in the catalog THEY put out to find the offer they are advertising

    last time i checked advertising one price/deal and then overcharging or not honoring that deal was false advertising and fraud, and not fixing something when it has been shown to you and you know its wrong is an unethical buisiness practice

    and just plain stupid

    its interesting that in one county near where i live (PG county) it takes between 3 and 5 police cars to pull somone with white skin over and give him a traffic ticket, and it takes 5-7 police cars to pull someone with darker than white skin over and give them a traffic ticket

    but in the county where i live (AA county), it takes 2 police cars max to pull someone over and give them a traffic ticket, no matter what color their skin is

    something else interesting
    the city of crofton has its own 'police' force, of 3 cars
    unfortunatly the only place they are seen is patroling the richest area of crofton,
    or
    harassing people loading the foodstuffs they just bought from Shoppers for 'taking to long', or yelling at drivers dropping their elderly or handicapped passenger(s) in front of the store before going to find a parking spot, again for 'taking to long'

    also, crofton residents call the AA county police when they need the police, not the BS crofton 'force'

    i am sooo tired
    at work today i moved between 7200 and 7600 pounds of boxes of gallon jugs anti-freeze
    i had to bring it out from the back pallet by pallet and stack the boxes in the store
    i pretty much spent my entire time there doing that

    i went to D&D after work
    well actually i went to safeway and got a sandwich and a gatoraide, then i went to D&D
    we did a re-do of the battle we had last time....everyone died again though
    we are going back to another campaign we put on hold before with some new characters, i'm just going to use the last one that died, with a few modifications
