oh... I haven't done this in a while...
Anyways... For those of you familiar with my works, you'll doubt my "Lord of the Animes: The Fellowship of the Anime" video... and it's supposed follow-up that never came to fruition "Lord of the Animes: The Two Showers." And yes... this entry is about Lord of the Animes.
The trailer for "Return of the King" has been released. So yes, I've been work and the 3rd and final Lord of the Animes video, titled: "Return of the Otaku" But I know what you're thinking, what about "The Two Showers"?
Here's the deal, even though I never did complete the second video, I also never deleted the work I had already done after my great computer crash. So there's is like, half of a video still sitting on my computer. Not only am I now working on "The Return of the Otaku" but I'm also finishing up "The Two Showers" So you can expect to see them later this year (hopefuly before "Return of the King" hits theaters....

Of X-Men and Printers...

Life is wierd cluster-fuck of events. You can be down-and-out one day and on top the the world the next. This isn't to say that I WAS "down and out" or "on top the world" for that matter. But as of late I've been having a variety of problems, but they aren't enough to keep me down.
In the least, the past 24 hours have been GREAT and things are only looking better for this weeked (my birthday is this Saturday, turning 20 this year). Last night was awesome simply for one lone reason.... X-Men 2. You see, I may have quit the movie theatre... but when your roomate is a manager, and your best friend is the ASSISSTANT MANAGER... I get to see a good chuck of movies prior to their release... so I saw X-Men 2 last night.... which was great!
But today... I'm not sure what to think about it. I had to drive Murph Sr. to work as per usual (he got a DUI a while back), and I also took Harry (the manger roommate) to work. But before taking him in we stopped at Staples and he bought a FUCKING $130 PRINTER for my birthday... I mean, what the FUCK?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry... as matter of fact, I'm fucking ecstatic. I've been needing a printer for quite some time. It's just that I'm not sure how to match something of that calibur in my current financial situation with HIS birthday coming up in June. On the same token... Murph Sr. and I have graciously allowed to live in our home, PRACITCALLY FREE OF CHARGE (a mere $50 a month to cover food costs) since October 2002. So I guess that works out... but still... I mean... the most I've spent on a present for ANYONE has been about $75... and that was a Christmas present for Murph Sr.
Needless to say... I was floored... I think my birthday weeked will be great if things like this keep up...

Maybe it's a lost cause...

I've come to the conclusion that, maybe I'll never finish Lord of the Animes: The Two Showers... but then again... maybe I will. For some reason, I can't find the motivation to finish it. I don't know why... I want to get it done, I really do... but life keeps interferring. With my life being so hectic as of late I haven't been able to go back and work on it. But I'm somehow managed to find the inspiration and motivation to complete TWO videos and make a video (which is currently in production) to submit to the Otakon 2003 AMV Contest.
I think that LotA: Showers is a victim of lost interest. I was going strong, and then I hit two brick walls, not one... TWO! I've managed to chisel through half of both walls... but it seems to hard sometimes and maybe I should just give up... but I don't want to, and I'm not going to! I will finish this video... I swear it... -

Well, it's about time I came clean... y'all (that's right, y'all) might remember this video I made called: The Lord of Animes: The Fellowship of the Anime. You might also recall me saying that I'd make a followup video. And you may finally recall that my computer suffered a fatal crash for no reason what-so-ever thus losing the precious video work that had been done, ultimatly postponing the video that was bogged down with issues in its cast and its scenes. That was in November 2002.
Let us recall, today, March 1, 2003. After constant nagging by my anime club, and a wealth of help from just about EVERYBODY who wants this damn thing done (including myself), I've finally gotten off my good for nothing ass and began production on The Lord of the Animes: The Two Showers once again! One member of the "Impossible Trio" was casted, that being a very odd selection of Illapalzzo playing Theoden. But Eomer and Gollum still stand on the other side of the "not casted" river.
Things are looking up, and I have good hopes for this. I may not get around to doing the spiffy effects I had planned to do, but that's okay.
So, with all hope I'll have the video completed sometime in the not to far off future. Thanks for your patience, and we look forward seeing you agian.

I'm ready for spring...

On Friday, me some friends went to Katsucon for the day. And my tax return has just come, so I blew like, $200 in the dealers room. What joy.
That was the good point of my weekend... because I'm now not only sick, but I'm snowed in. I mean, I tried to get out yesterday... but I couldn't get anywhere. So I'm sick, and stranded. I want it to be spring now...
