So... after an extended vacation from video production, I think it is time to start finishing all my half-finished projects, and start some new soon-to-be unfinished projects ;)
I feel the need to make a video of "Prayer" by Disturbed. Not sure yet which Anime I will use. Probably something I don't own and will have to go out and purchase. Ah, the things we do for our addic...err... hobbies. -

Ideas... The lack of them can be frustrating. I have concluded that too many can be equally frustrating. Every time I start working on a video, I Get half done with it and I have this newer and ever better idea for a video. The temptation to start working on the new video is overwhelming and I give in. So, now I have 3 half finished videos as I start in on my new one.
This one is "I have a Theory" from the Buffy episode "Once More With Feeling". The Anime is Tenchi Muyo! with a dash of Slayers.
The Cast:
Buffy - Ryoko
Xander - Tenchi
Willow - Washu
Giles - Grandpa
Anya - Ayeka
Tara - Mihoshi
While the song is short, there is alot of lip synching involved in this one. More than that, there are a couple of composite lip synchs for the group parts of the song. This is certainly my most technically ambitious project as of yet. I hope it turns out as cool as I envision it to be.
When I am done with this one - "Walk Through the Fire" from the same Buffy Episode using "Whitch Hunter Robin". Fortunately, I don't have to worry about starting on this one before "I have a Theory" is done, because I don't own WHR yet. -

I can't seem to keep my mind on a single project these days.
I currently have 3 unfinished videos I am working on, and my creative energies ebb and flow like the tide. This is not condusive to actually FINISHING a video.
Projects I am working on:
Remember - BT done to El Hazard. It is mostly an Ifurita profile
Buffalo Gals - Malcolm Mclaren. Much like the song, the video has no rhyme or reason.
Modern Day Cowboy - Tesla done to Cowboy Bebop. Nothing too original here. A profile of Spike and Viscious. I had done this video ages ago but it sucked so unbelievable bad I decided not to post it here. Once I finish it, I will actually post it. I figured I have learned enough so far that the video won't suck 9 kinds of ass. -

I can't seem to stick to one video project. I got an idea in my head and I just had to stop working on everything else. I have decided to use Premier and After Effects for great evil. My newest video project is Malcolm McClaren's "Buffalo Gals" using anime footage from "All Purpose Cat Girl Nuku Nuku".
This will certainly be my most ambitious video from a technical standpoint. Figuring out AE has been the doom of me... -

Started work on my video "Rember" once again. Followed the instructions in teh ariticle on deinterlacing. El Hazard looks SO MUCH BETTER when it is in a progressive format. Editting is so much easier and my desire to rip my hair out is fading. The stupid interlacing was really what stopped me from working on that video. Good thing too. I went back and watched what I had done as so far... Ugh. There are some parts I like. There are other parts however that scream "God this sucks!" Live and learn.
And out of left field comes this commentary... What is up with people posting videos and leaving stuff in the commentary like "This video sucks, I hope you enjoy it", "I don't know what I was thinking when I made this video", "This is one of my worst", etc. Yeah... That really wants to makes me download those videos. I figure that if you are going to take the time to MAKE the video and actually POST it, you could at least try to sell the video instead of posting commentary that makes people NOT want to download it.
