Day 1: oddities
2004-05-06 18:22:04
Life had become, for me, like some big anime. No lie. I suppose, at last, I should document a few of the abnormal things that happen to me.
*Note: Everything written here is 100% true, whether you believe it or not.
Day 1: May 6th: On the final episode of Cowboy Bebop and Reoccuring Symptoms of Paranoia
This little entry started a week back. Now, you see, I was never one for Cowboy Bebop. Never. Then, recently, I happened to be up late one night and accidently turned my channel to Cartoon Network and caught episode 11, Jupiter Jazz. My first impression (biased because I am both a girl and an otaku) was to think, D*** VICIOUS IS CUTE!. Odd, yes, but true. Then i was hooked. That was two weeks ago. Then, a week ago, THIS started. THIS is, as you'll see, a lot of things, and yet none at all. Simple things that you wouldn't think much of, but still.
Anyways, last week it rained. Just ordinary rain. That night, the oddest thing that has happened in my whole life came about. I was home, alone, and the doorbell rang. No big deal, right? I answered it, only to find a person I did not expect at all standing there, holding out to me the most beautiful rose I have ever seen. Who was this mystery person? It was a role-player, a good friend of mine online, who had promised to come and see me one day. Guess he kept his promise. We took a walk (yes, in the rain) and happened by a graveyard. The rose, which he had handed to me and I was carrying, dropped from my hand and landed daintily in a puddle. At the same instant, all around me, morning doves flew into the air, startled from their perches in the trees.
Like I said, this is all true. By now, you are thinking one of two things, I can tell. Either "This girl is whacko" or "What's the big deal?"
Moving on. I heard gunshots last Sunday, echoing through the house. It was merely my dad watching an old police shoot-out, but it still freaked me out.
Two days ago, or was it three? It was the day before the last CB episode, thats for sure. Anyways, I was riding the bus to school. Everyone else on my bus witnessed this too, of course, and none of them thought a thing about it. What we saw were a multitude of little red cars, all with middle-aged, blonde-haired lady drivers. Weird? Much.
Then I watched the final episode. Needless to say, other oddities occured as well, but I just wrote in here the major ones. You be my judge. Am I insane? Is this all just a dream? Or perhaps it's some sort of sign? Maybe it's just nothing, and it happened to be coincidence. You be my judge. Email me, if you could, with your thoughts. More journal entries to come soon.
