- 2001-11-22 10:18:25 Skipping Thanksgiving today. Why? Thanksgiving is a day to spend with friends and family. Having neither here in Baltimore, my home town, I really don't see the point in going through all the bother. (My definition of "home": The place you have to go to when they kick you off campus because of some stupid break.) I do like turkey, though. Maybe I'll get a Hungry-Man turkey TV dinner and enjoy that. But I really hate going to the grocery store, and I just bought a beautiful new 14" stir-fry pan. I wonder what I can cook around here...

Inspired by William Shatner, had impromptu Iron Chef Night last night. Became Iron Chef Dwarven, and made big old batch of Spaghetti Carbonara for all my peeps. An unmitigated success. Fruity shrimp cocktails weren't quite as popular, but were still well-received. Iron Chef Break-Everything made very tasty chili, some of which ended up on wall. Iron Chef Half-Assed and Iron Chef No-Pants assisted, as did Colin, our sous-chef. (He knows his stuff. Will have to be promoted to full Iron Chef next time.) Biggest success of night was Iron Chef Boy-Sex's cheesy taco dip. Yummy yummy.
