Four hundred fifty first entry - expensive tastes?
2010-06-01 15:26:55
Time - 1:57, Noise - The Arcade Fire - "Rebellion (Lies)"
Just taking a moment to pimp my recent video for anyone who may have missed it and was interested:

So... my birthday. Didn't do anything on the actual day, but my best friend and I chilled out two days after the fact. I was hoping to find a keyboard for under $100, and I did find one, but it only had 61 keys. WTF. No. Why did they take away a couple of my octaves? Why are 88 key keyboards so flippin' expensive?
I'm not looking for something fancy. I don't need it to be able to emulate sixty other instruments while jamming to ten different preset rhythms. I just want something that will play, but I don't want to be cheated out of what the keyboard should have had on it in the first place.
Gah. That was supposed to be my birthday present, too. That or Fatal Frame IV, which is also ridiculously expensive due to it being only released in Japan and therefore fairly rare. I really hate spending a ton of money in one pop, especially when I'm trying to save.
My brother, of course, is the opposite. I forgot to mention ACen in my last entry, which was a lot of fun, if stressful on the friendships. We did get into the Hyatt for once (fifth year's the charm), and my brother ended up hanging around me for the most part. That's okay, because we get along, but I don't always know what to say besides "thank you" when he buys me stuff like this:

It was nearly three hundred dollars, and granted, I love Devil May Cry 4, but I'm not sure I would have ever spent that much on myself. He bought me this another year, Dante's sword Rebellion from DMC3:

(That's my cat Tenkai creepin' it up in the background. Best picture ever.) I don't know how much that was, though. My first year, he bought me tickets to the 'Play!' concert, which were none-too-cheap either.
I'm starting to feel like I owe him something back with all of the extravagant gifts, but I don't know what he would like, or even if I can afford anything.
Any of you ever have trouble like that? Family or friends who buy you expensive gifts and you don't really know how to repay it? Do you feel like you are supposed to repay them at all? So confused.
Meh. This is long(er than usual). Time to go.
See you, folks.

So. Another straight A semester. Pretty proud of myself, but not as proud this time around, since I was taking easy classes. I kind of expected that I would get good grades. I was more impressed when I aced two philosophy courses. Anyway, just one more year ahead of me and I'll finally graduate from college. Finally. FINALLY.
These last two semesters are going to be amazing because of how fabulous my schedule is. Not the timetable, for sure, but the classes I'm taking are great. I finished all of my general education requirements and my major some time ago, so I'm just hanging around to do my minor, and supplementing my need to maintain twelve credits (in order to stay a full time student) by taking a bunch of fun stuff. I considered picking up another minor, but in what? I'm a non-teaching foreign language major. I'm gonna be a translator. Most other disciplines wouldn't really accent what I'm going into... except for business. Which I hate. So I refuse. I don't have enough time for much else, anyway.
Let's see... not much else. I'm just home for the summer, trying my best to be productive. Of course, none of the jobs I applied for hired me. Didn't even get a single call back. Bastards.
Birthday is tomorrow, but I'm not doing anything for it, I'm sure. Hell, I'm cooking my own friggin' dinner for myself and my mother. It's not even a special dinner. Oh well. That's every year for me. I guess I'd rather have it calm and quiet anyway.
See you folks on the flip side. The flip side of what, I'm not sure. The pancake?

Four hundred forty ninth entry - ya rly!
2010-05-02 02:31:23
Time - 1:23, Noise - Madonna - "Like a Prayer"
Countdown to ACen timez? Methinks yes. :3
Class this week and finals the next. I was lucky to not have any finals on that Friday, so I didn't have to negotiate any of my exams for ACen's sake.
Time to look forward to a highly productive summer of teaching myself how to cook complex dishes, learning to sew clothes, cleaning my room, practicing drawing, practicing piano, possibly begrudging my mother, and of course, NOT having a job.
Frickin' frackin' GAH. Hire me already, people!
Gotta go before I tl;dr everyone.
G'night, folks!

Four hundred forty eighth entry - creativity fail
2010-04-20 00:13:24
Time - 11:11, Noise - my loud dormmates
Just a thought: if I can tell what sources your video uses just by reading the title, then you probably aren't coming up with very creative titles. I'm not saying this is bad. I do it too. I'm just sayin'... it's probably not very creative.
Not that I care, honestly. I rename all of your videos that I keep anyway. Without the titles. lulz.

Four hundred forty seventh entry - Whut
2010-04-17 15:44:14
Time - 2:42, Noise - Angelzoom - "Fairyland"
To the editor of Glorificus Bellum: every time I see the title of your video at a glance, I think it says Glorious Bacon.
Which would be glorious indeed.
That is all.
