  • Sweet jesus i'm home 2004-06-19 21:52:17 Well, that show i was telling you about (heh, i'm still calling it a show) was a complete and total failure (my dignity is gone) I think today has been onw of the worst days i've had in a very long time. ::sigh:: but i'll spare you of my bitching (for now) and start with friday.

    Okay, so i pick up will, and get down to brens. so far so good. We hang out there for a bit, and then decide to go see a movie at the mall. We saw dodgeball, which was a pretty great fucking movie, and then we bought stuff. Stuff being a goalie stick for hockey, and a regulation size NHL net for practice. oh, and also Love hina 6, but thats not as important as the hockey gear. So i'm thinking, this weekend is going to kick so much ass. I was so fucking wrong. Next morning, we get up, get all dressed up for the anniv, and go down there. Before we go, the guys decide to bring a couple of guitars. I'm thinking "shit, they wanna play, and i have no fucking idea whats going on" (i was in a different car than themn and wasnt able to ask) so i'm already kinda dreading this thing. After we get there, we realize that it is the most boring thing we could have ever done. I would have gotten more thrills from fucking a cactus with a porcupine for a condom. it was mind numbingly boring and i thought i had died. After i had done filming(i was in charge of operating the video camera, due to my film experience) we were just sitting there, trying to pass time until we could go home. Then someone got the bright idea to tell the DJ that we were getting ready to play, and so he announces to the whole party that we were setting up to play some songs. Mother fucker. So the guys start mulling over ideas for songs(mostly without my input) and then they decide to play "warning" and "follow me" Not my choice of music to play, but like i said, i didnt get much airtime. I say,"guys, i'm not sure if i remember all the lyrics" and then will goes up to the DJ and tells him that the singer isnt ready. So then he announces that the singer is unavailable. I had already been introduced as the singer for our band to almost everybody there, and so you can imagine how embarassing that was. ALL I DID WAS SAY THAT I MIGHT NOT REMEMBER ALL THE FUCKING WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!! Right after that i said that i wanted to run through the songs really quick to make sure, but he was already off to blow up my spot. I asked for a fucking warm-up(which, it turns out, they needed too, heh heh, vengeance...) and then he decides to do that to me. I was ready to knock him in the fucking jaw, if not for all the people staring at me. I then pull the guys out into the hall, and tell them that i want to run through the songs really quick, and then i go to the bathroom. I come back, and will tells me that we arent going to warm up, and they want me to be a human mic stand. I came so close to clocking him one right there, but left instead. So i walked around the building for about 10 minutes, just venting and singing the two songs to myself(turns out i knew 90% of them, but i was able to remember the rest)and then i go back inside. They still havent started, and are running around like chickens with theyre heads cut off.(i love that simile) Then will asks me to hold the mic again, and i just ignore him. he walks away, and about 5 minutes later they figure out a way to get it to work, by jamming the mic into the back of a chair (funny as all hell, i'll tell you what...) then i get the video camera and film them, since we were supposed to be filmed i guess. The first song went well, except will messed up the counting and was terrible during the fills(he fucked up on a god damned tambourine!!!!!)
    The second song fell through halfway cause brendan forgot the words. so i was happy that they looked like complete idiots when i didnt play. Malicious, but i beleive it was well deserved. I'm ok with that. After how bad it went, they kinda lost the sore feelings, since they fucked up royally, and it wasnt because i didnt sing(well, kinda, but it wasnt my fault) That made my day a little better, but i was still pissed at the fact that they were still asses about me wanting a simple fucking warm up. Oh, and after we got home, we set up the net and shit, and then will broke the forward stick, so now i gotta repair it, or we gotta shell out 20 bucks to go get a brand new one. This weekend was total fucking bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WAAAHHHHOOOOO!!!!!!! 2004-06-18 10:38:41 I GOT A 1230 ON MY SAT'S!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy, thats a really good score!!!! I'm all like" Yeah me, being a genius!!' But, all that aside, today is our last "practice" before the "show" (i'm sure a few of you who have been paying enough attention are sure what i mean...) so i'm gonna go pick up will, and head down to brens. I just thought i'd check my score, then tell you guys all about it. I made a mental note to make sure i put in my score, because its a pretty momentous occason in my life(this will definitely help with the fact that i'm poor and cant afford college) But i've got to go get will and get to practice, so i'll talk to you guys later this weekend!!!!!!

  • WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!!!! 2004-06-15 21:20:15 This makes two journals in a row that i read that belong to people on my list, and are depressing. what the hell.....this really isnt cool....so many people are having bad days today....i hope i'm not next......
    Anyway, if any of you out there are into music, and more specifically, play guitar, you should go to www.tabit.net and download this program. It is the bible of all guitar players.

  • hmm..... 2004-06-15 20:54:18 well, since it hasnt been but a day since i last typed, i wont have too much to say. I think i've given up on amv's for a bit....i'll et back to my task as a creator soon enough, just give me some time....
    I guess the main reason that i'm entering is because i just read a friends(yes, i call my "internet acquaintances" my friends, if you disagree, too bad) journal, and i'm a little intrigued......it was uncharachteristically short, and somber. all i have to say is, if you read this and need to talk, i'm on AIM, Miaka.
