It's tricky to use correct spelling
2003-08-17 15:52:39
...and to stop this joke =P
But seriously, everyone should go check out the newest wonderful, super-great, awesometastic banners that have come in =|

Check out *both* of those babies. If the lack of banner skillz doesn't get you, the terrible spelling will.

I'm only posting here because I need to vent before I go out to get some air.
So between yesterday and today I was supposed to have my NESProject video done. Now I had kind of procrastinated up until about a week ago, but I did get back to work on it with the deadline looming ahead and all. Luckily, I did have a clear vision about what I wanted to do with the video, and it came together fairly well.
Flash-forward to yesterday. I wasn't completely finished (there were some rough spots) but I had pretty much wrapped up all but about 9 seconds on my video. So I went to the shore for the day, and decided I would export a semi-final copy tomorrow to look over, and throw onto the FTP to get some criticisms and such. Ok, fine. Good plan, I'm almost done, I can do that.
So yesterday ends, and we come to today. I have work today at 12 noon, so I decide I'm going to let the video encode while I'm at work (as I've done numerous times before in the past). I start the encode, everything's going smoothly, so I go to work.
And that's where all the good happiness with my project ends. I get home about 5:30 and come to see if the encode is done and everything. It's not, because Premiere has caused a runtime error.
Fine, whatever, that's happened before too. It's annoying, because I'll have to do the encode again, but nothing more. I hit enter on my laptop to exit the error box and close Premiere. Premiere closes, but then I get another error box saying Premiere has caused an error in rundll. I hit enter to exit that too, but it just pops up again. I hit it again to try and close it again. This time I get the blue screen of death saying that my system is dangerously low on resources, close one or more programs to free up resources. But hitting a key to make the blue screen go away doesn't work, so I end up restarting my system.
System restarts, I get back online, blah blah blah. I open up Premiere again, and go to open up my project file...
It's.
NOT.
There.
Right about here I nearly freak the fuck out, but I remember that Premiere holds archives of earlier saved project files, so I go into the folder to try and find the latest version of my NESProject.
I find the latest version that was in the archive.
The Problem? IT HAS ALL OF ABOUT 25 SECONDS DONE.
Now enter Rob FREAKING THE FUCK OUT.
I can't believe this shit is happening to me. WTF. I have no clue what to do. I'm gonna go out and get some air, then come back and see if I can do anything about this. If not, I'm gonna have to tell Fluxy what happened and see what he has to say.
I needed to vent, but if anyone has any ideas or solutions to fix something like this, please let me know. I could really use the help right now.

Blah blah blah

Well, I've continued work on my NESProject vid. I'd say I'm around 15% done now, and more time is opening up for me to work on it after tonight. I still haven't captured any game footage, but I'm not too worried about that, I know what kind of scenes I need, and I've never had problems with Nesten before.
But AMV-related stuff is not my focus today. For tonight I have my final for my first summer course.
Let's Rock, Baby.

Haha, I don't see how you're sorry for reading my journal. The whole point of having it online is that other people can see it =P
Besides, I read your journal here and on LJ, cause I find them interesting
...Unless that bothers you =X If it does I'll stop
