JOURNAL: FirestormXIII (Robert X. Hill-Williams)

  • Teh Fubared 2003-04-23 12:43:49 Well, I've been motivated to start doing some stuff I haven't done in a while (ops and the like), but of course my computer has to start acting...dumb =
So I'm in the process of re-installing everything after I've reformatted my comp and put Windows back on again. Weeee for delays =|

After I'm done with that I'm gonna get started on those opinions though.

    Later.
  • Phade and a post of Doom?! 2003-04-17 00:00:34 Jeb-Give me a link, I wanna see it :O

I've searched the forum like four times and been to every heading and still can't find it :(

    Help meeeee....
  • =/ 2003-04-16 11:43:34 Well, yesterday I went over to CompUSA (it's becoming like one of my favorite stores) and picked up a USB 2.0 upgrade for my laptop. I also exchanged some clothes that I'd bought two days ago (basically bought a new wardrobe, I was in dire need of it) because they were the wrong size.

But anyway, last night I was installing the upgrade I'd bought (quite a routine thing). My DVD drive decided to die on me. =|
My CD-ROM drive works just fine, so I was able to install the upgrade anyway, but now I have to buy a new DVD-ROM. Just an annoyance, it also means I can't get any more work done on the NESProject till the new one comes in. If it's not one thing, it's another...

Oh well, at least now I can use my external Harddrive to it's full capacity, since now I can move data around at such high speeds. It's perfect since I've got to rip more source for the video. Of course now I have no DVD drive to do the ripping *shakes fist* Yep, just one big nasty cycle.

In other news I picked up Wolverine's Revenge for PS2, the first volume of RaXephon and the box to hold the whole series (came with a nifty t-shirt too), and Sonic Adventure 2 on Gamecube. Fun times, at least I have something to do while I'm waiting for my drive to come in =D

    Later all.
  • :O 2003-04-11 23:49:13 Roz! Shame! You didn't even get a kiss?

You make us ashamed to be the same person =P
  • Cause I'm a Speed King... 2003-04-11 15:51:49 Well, today I went on a bit of a shopping spree. I had originally stopped at the mall just to pick up my copy of Final Fantasy Origins on reserve at the Gamestop I work at. Of course that ended up not beig the case.

I got Origins, but I also picked up 3 of the Battle Scarred Gundams while I was there. I got Nataku, Deathscythe Hell, and Sandrock. They are quite possibly the coolest action figures I've ever owned in my life, and I had quite a few as a kid. They're just awesome.
So anyway then I decided I would pick up my god-sister's birthday present since I was already there and her party is tomorrow. I got her a large stuffed bear, and a smaller bear that has a sparkly nose and her birth month written on it (April). Quite cute, and only 8 bucks for the smaller one. 25 for the bigger one, but I've seen worse prices.

Then I made the big mistake (well my credit card thinks it was a big mistake). I decided I'd go over to Sam Goody, and pick up a CD since I hadn't done that in a while.

    I walked out with 11 CDs :O

Iced Earth-Dark Saga (I was really surprised they had Iced Earth there, last copy too)
    Incubus-Enjoy Incubus
String Tribute to Incubus (I'd seen a few String Tribute albums before, and I love string music, so I picked it up)
Dave Matthews Band-Under the Table and Dreaming (Been wanting this one for a while)
Nas-God's Son (Really like his last album, which surprised me, so I picked this one up)
    Ludacris-Word of Mouf
Supernatural-The Lost Freestyle Tapes (After a little discussion on the forums and Zerophite mentioning him I thought I'd take a listen)
Missy Elliot-Under Construction (Love Missy's uniqueness, there's nobody quite like her. Hadn't picked up any of her albums, so I got this one)
Jimmy Hendrix-Experience Hendrix (Been meaning to pick up some Hendrix for a while)
Incubus-Science (I hear it's one of their best, and I'm looking to get all their albums, which I believe accomplished today since I already have Morning View and Make Yourself)
Deep Purple-Very Best of Deep Purple (Almost entirely because of Shameless Rock Video, I just wanted to hear more of these guys. Although, the version of Speed King on this album is a bit different from AD's video (It's the American version))

And that was that. I got all those and came home. Kinda feel like playing Star Craft right now, but everyone's busy. Oh well...

    Later all.
