lol, Actually I'm pretty close to the same way. Video gaming is like my biggest other hobby. I guess I don't take as long a break after a project because I multi-task a lot. I actually find myself taking breaks from gaming more than AMV making, cause I spend less time on AMVs.
It's just after editing everyday for like two weeks is a killer, at least for me, and it's like the first time I've had to be like 'ok, I'm going to take a break from this'.
Can't stay gone too long though, still got NESProject looming near... =O

Still not done with my MI:2 segment. Will defintely finish tomorrow in time for deadline though.
Note to self: Stop procrastinating. On everything.
Random: I liked Citizen Cope before, but I'm really starting to get turned on to his style now. I wonder when he's coming out with another album, I've got his self-titled album on loop in my CD player right now. He's definitely looking like a candidate for a future video. Only thing is, the anime I see doing some Citizen Cope to is *surprise surprise* Cowboy Bebop, which was already done quite well by Wonka's 'Appetite for Dynamite'. I'd feel like such a biter using the same artist to the same anime =/
However, that probably won't stop me if a good enough idea hits me. I've already got one forming, but it's not very solid yet. Doesn't matter at the moment, I've still got other projects that I'm committed to at the moment, and after those I've got my own personal project that I halfway started about a month ago. And then there's the other big ideas I've had that I can finally do...and blah, you know how it goes.
Ok, I'm done eating dinner now, so I'm calling it a night.
Later all. Time to put about 8 hours of work in on my uber-l337 project called sleeping XD

Jeez people...

Now, I saw the first person's entry about wanting to quit because of Koop's video, but after being out and about today, and trying to work on my segment for MI:2 I come back to see people in droves saying stuff like "oh I suck", "Koop's videos was so good I don't know why I do this", "Omglolcmeo I quit" and crap like that.
People. Really, let's calm down for a minute here.
Ok, I'm sure Koop's video was great (I haven't seen it yet, but I plan to). But that doesn't mean the world is coming to an end. We all have talent, and we all have the ability to create something special. But we don't all do it the same way. Just remember that.
When I saw Koop's Damaged Rei-Mix I was like "Holy shit, he's good" but I never thought about quitting because of it. And let's face it, I'm not great or anything, it's not I have a super 1337 video to go and work on.
I'm simply aware that me and Koop aren't the same person, don't have the same styles, and won't make the same videos. I know I'm not an effects person, and I'll never be able to do half the stuff Koop does in his videos, but that doesn't bother me, because just because I can't do what he does doesn't mean I can't create something people will enjoy.
This is a hobby, and if you really find that you don't enjoy it anymore, then yes maybe it's time to move on. But if you like what you do then there's no reason one person's video, or any number of people's videos, should make you feel like quitting. We've all got different visions, let's not let them go to waste.
My two cents...
All this quitting talk is motivating me to go edit...
Later all.
P.S.- I finished watching Cowboy Bebop today. Only got one word to describe it:
Wow...
P.P.S.- In case I lost anyone with it during my entry...Omglolcmeo=Oh my god laughing out loud crying my eyes out
