  • 2003 Con Season 2003-07-09 01:59:37 Ok.. So I guess I had better make SOME post.

Let's see... I didn't feel well for Anime Centeral so I didn't go. Quu went and apparently had fun but was frazzled.

Missed Jacon and Animazement cause I feel down the stairs and twisted my ankle. It's STILL not completely healed.

Fanime was a BLAST. I was a little lonely cause none of my friends were there (it's in Calf for crying out loud!) but I got to meet a lot of new people.

Next up is Otakon. I'm looking forward to it. ^_^ Yippiee!

Some good vids from this year:
    ~ Vlad's "In The Navy"
~ Doki Doki's growling vid. (forgot the name)
    ~ "Chibi Things that Kill"
~ The Top Gun/Macross Plus & Macross Zero vid
    ~ Brad's "Hind Sad Diamonds"

and others that I can't think of at 3am
  • It's Over... 2002-10-03 14:27:04 Awa is finally over... for this year at least.

I'm locking Quu up in seclusion for the next week and a half, not that he minds.. in fact it was his idea. ^_^

I need to type up a con report, but I'm so lazy.. and there is so much to write. :-( Oh well..
  • La de da 2002-09-11 21:47:26 Ok.. I've been reviewing some of the vids that I've seen while prepping stuff for AWA. Vlad now knows he's got at least one Fangrl... (actually two since my friend, a big costumer, LOVES his work as well). I really want to review one that was entered into the Pro contest, but it hasn't been logged into AMV.org yet. *sigh*

Another one that I saw, and that ranks right up there with Vlad's "Destiny of the Dark " vid, IMO. It was melezov's (Marko Elezovic) "Pater Noster " vid. When Quu played it on the TV I didn't even know it was a Hellsing vid. The Song immediately captured my attention and made me turn around. Then there was Alucard... and I made Quu play it over so I could see it from the beginning. *drools*

As soon as I'm done previewing the lineup for the Pro Nominations I'm going to put that sucker on loop. The computer I'm on now won't play whatever encoding Quu is using. :-p Oh well... I guess that just means I'll have to watch it on the big screen again. ^_^

I'm really looking forward to AWA. Quu told me about the AMV Creator's dinner that Red Wolf is organizing wanting to know if I might be interested. Needless to say, since I want to get him out of the VAT room as much as possible, we're going. It will also be good to finally see all my friends that I've made on Lostboy's Lounge ( http://pub44.ezboard.com/blostboyslounge ).

What's funny is that we're having so many people stay here at the house before the con it's not funny. Honest to god, the con starts on the 21st... that's when people start arriving. I'm not complaining.. cause they are all cool people and friends, but I find it amusing.

Anyway... Quu is home now. Dinner time!
  • Obsessed 2002-09-07 16:01:49 Brief note: I've recently moved in with Quu so the prospects of me doing my own AMV has been solidified. I've already posted a few things in my LiveJournal at http://lethann.livejournal.com

The entry below is from my LiveJournal.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok.. if I don't start working on this AMV soon I'm going to go bonkers.

Last night lord_darkseid gave me the great idea of using "Now and Then, Here and Now" into my vid, since it's about as whacked out as you can get and fits the song PERFECTLY. Since then, my brain has been going a million miles a minute.

I'm hoping it will go well. Using footage from Nightmare Campus, Kojo Demon Warrior, and then Now & Then, Here & Now to the song "Down with the Sickness" by Disturbed (Song Lyrics are here: http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=lethann&itemid=118894 ).

Things are starting to develop in my head. As soon as we get a computer that I can work on I'll be giving it a go. Thankfully I'll have Quu to help me learn the software and exactly what needs to be done. Even then... I'm sure that this is going to totally suck... *sigh* oh well..

From now on all my AMV entries, aside from side comments in my main entries, will be posted in my AMV.org journal. Seems only fitting.
