I'm hungry..... But I gotta wait for this darn amv to dl before I hit lunch. Lunch is gunna suck too. I'll prolly just get a burger and fries. Although, they are having ceaser salads today. Ceaser salads are sooooo good. mmmmmmmm. Oh ya, and I forgot to put my regular glasses on today so i've been walking from class to class with my sunglasses one. They're prescription sunglasses but noone else knows that. They probably all think i've been smoking or drinking too much. Actually, I wouldn't mind having a beer right now, now that I think about it. mmmmm, beer. "The cause and solution to, all of life's problems" - Homer Simpson

what to write...what to write...
I don't fucking know. That last SQL project was a doozy. Took around 25 hours to finish. Worse part is I had to do it all at school. Ah well.
As for anime-related junk. I finished watching Saber Marionette J the other day. (I'll probably mention some spoilers from here on btw) I didn't think it was a very good anime. It had everything going for it too. If they had just taken more time with the storyline and script they could've had a fabulous anime. The didn't have a lack of content nor characters or drama. They just didn't organize it well. A lot of the scripting could've been sooooo much better. I mean, I expect an anime to "reach" my level. I'm not talking about pokemon or anything. I mean Saber Marionette deals with some pretty tough stuff I thought. Being that it had all that adult content you'd think it would have a script to match. Being that it resulted in this manner, it doesn't have much reviewability. That's really too bad too. I really did enjoy it at sometimes, but I'd not watch it all over again just to see a few good parts. Prolly the strongest part of the anime was the characters. They were drawn well and developed well. You'd excpect that I guess being that they whole story was based on their developement. The creator nearly screwed the pooch at the end too in sacraficing the three marionettes. I mean, not only did I expose myself to an anime of that class, but I also had to put up with a absolutely horrible ending? Thankfully the evil space-ship finally felt some sort've pity and sent the girls back down to earth. Such a baka anime...... It kinda reminds me of another anime; BGC 2040. Now there's an anime I'll be watching several times in the future. It had everything, detailed animation(sexy chicks), character development, a good storyline, decent villians, and tons of action. The two anime are a bit alike though. The three main girls for the most part. Bloodberry and Priss are alike in that they are the serious warriors of the group. Lime and Nene are alike in that they are the young kawaii kid of the group. Then there's Cherry and Linna who are relatively similar in that they are both semi-serious but also have love problems.
Finally there's Cowboy Bebop. I'd blab about that for a bit, but dont have the time at the moment so it'll have to wait. I'll sum it up in one word for now; "bitchen"

bored, kinda

Ugh....I'm working on my SQL project and things are iiiiiiiiinnnnnching along. It's facinating stuff when you think about it. It makes the collection and storage of information so much easier. I know animenfo.com is based off of a anime database and I'm sure this website uses some sort of database program to organize everything. All that side, I'd rather be watching anime or messing around with an AMV right now. ::forces mouse cursor back to MS SQL::

When Worlds Collide (vicbond007)
2002-02-11 16:58:31
Lately I've found it quite interesting to read the comments given to certain AMVs I've seen, whether they be good or bad. One I found particularly entertaining was the one given by Bahamut (Nadim Awad) for "When Worlds Collide" by VicBond007. While scrolling down other commentry for the AMV, I found that VicBond007 replies to quite a few, which brings me to wonder what he'll say about Bahamut's comments. My comments for the AMV weren't as colorful as Bahamut's but they were along the same frequency.

The Survey for hosting AMVs on one large server with a 100MB connection.
2002-01-30 16:26:01
There seems to be about 17000+ members of www.amv.org. Perhaps only 12K of those are active. Of those 12K, there are some multiple accounts. That would leave perhaps, 9000 active members. Of those people I'm assuming only 2/3 would be willing to pay a monthly fee. A person with a 56K connection would not benefit from the services that the new server provided. Some would still pay though, and most of the higher bandwidth active members would see the benefit and pay a reasonable fee. That leaves 6000 paying members. If everyone chipped in 1 dollar then that would come to $6000 a month or 72,000 dollars a year. That's quite a bit of money. If you dock off 50K, it still leaves $22,000. What is a reasonable sum to pay the people who maintain the server and such? How much of that money should carry-over to the next year so that there could be a possible price reduction for the members? Also, if things got that big, would it attract the attention of the corporations that produced the anime? They may not be very pleased, or they may attempt to take over the business, which would most likely make the monthly price jump up.
