okaaaay....i was having trouble ftp-ing the amv, so i'll have to do it after work tonight. it's been such a process getting it set up, that it seems pointless for me to do anymore amvs. but i sent it off to anime-expo. it looked okay at a minidv. we'll see what the judges think.
i also sent off the print to the fest, emailed the girls and got my cel. it looks great. well, i see i have had 7 hits and it must've disappointed the one person who checked it 7 times. like how i pretend to be self-depricating with my cynical remark? people do that a lot on their journals here. sorry it's taken so long for my amv. i'm a busy kid. for once

okay, i know you're asking....where the fcuk is your amv, nova? well, here's the thing....i just found out that anime-expo's deadline for the amv contest is today so i spent my time last night doing laundry and adding a little more to the video. frankly, mr. shankly, if i do anymore tweeking, it'd just be a mess. so i'm making an mpg as we speak, and hopefully it'll look good enough to put up. the ones i did yesterday were pretty blocky.
i have a few things to do today. i have to email some girls for the suprise party for s birthday thursday. her gf called me, she's a really sweet girl, and is setting this all up. i'm hangin out with nars tomorrow but just thought i'd email her in advance. nest, i have to make a copy of the proxy form, just in case i don't go to anime expo, then mail the a-e entry along with the print for the upcoming festival, besides also picking up my dirty pair cel.
i also gotta find out about the auction i won. sheez.
and don't forget, i'm working until late tonight. sheeeeez

so i finally got the compression part done, and i hope it works out right. i didn't have time this morning to ul it, so once i get home, i'll view it once more and then send it off.
something was up with my cleaner program, so i went down the road of virtualdub. so i can safely blame everything on it if it doesn't work right. j/k
i foolishly and impulsively bid on the cowboy bebop perfect sessions saturday and won it. i didn't need it but i eventually piad for it. poo
hot off the presses-robotech is going to air on anime network. i don't get the channel because it only airs on cable which is lame. i really don't like this concept of exclusive channels by cable/satellite brand. it's a pathetic marketing ploy. there's no way i'm getting cable. it's too expensive. i get more bang for my buck with directv. enh, besides i have the whole series collection.
the adv sale they were talking about in the forum seems like a good deal. but i won't be spending frivolously anytime soon.
i'm not sure how soon i'll be doing another amv. time is very valuable to me these days. i'm surprised i got the AMV done, but it had a lot to do with getting stuff off my to-do list for this month. i get irritated if i can get things out of the way. like film projects. but i've been wanting to work on my 3D projects and now i can get started and have the space I've been using for the amv. every gb couts on my computer. I just got the newest episode of daphne so i'm going to treat myself to that after i ul the amv.

so i finally finished my amv like i said early. i was compressing, not with the method you guys took, because it seems laborious, but i used cleaner...i'm better off doin it like everyone else even though i tried and i got fed up after five minutes. it's not that i have a short attention span, i'm just a critic. if it's not user friendly, fuck it. but i like cleaner, i just have to figure my shit out. i re-rendered as i left to work.
i'll leave all my comments on my amv when i finally get it on the site. it's pretty useless to talk about it now.
i didn't take the dogs to the park, but sunday gf and i went to scharfenberger and hung out with papa and bernie in front of cafe cacao. hmmm....chocolate orange scones...of course papa got especially noticed because he's chocolate coated...it was kind of funny. he's also really adorable looking, like bernie, the cinammon guy.
gf and i were walk back and we started talking about moving back and getting a place in west berkeley. i definitely want to. there's no way in hell i'd bring my kid up in l.a. there wasn't a kid i met there that wasn't completely jaded or conservative, unless they weren't actually from there. imho.
hopefully i can get the amv on the site and get the ball rolling.
