so i'm back from vegas. i didn't win any money except for the bet on black for my co-worker who won 35 bucks besides her 20. not bad. i ate buffet and i can only recommend two places....the cannery and main st. they are otuside the strip. i watched dawn of the dead which I HATED. it was so pointless and it really infuriated me more than i would cared to have been. then i saw ladykillers. i don't like the coen bros, because i find them boring. they should just write plays. i went to the luxor and rode ALL the IMAX film rides and only recommend funhouse express. the other two had really tacky 3D graphics from five years ago, and imitiated disney rides.
so now i'm here waiting for my gf to get off work and i am calling it a night. -

so this is my last entry UNTIL.. i get back from vegas. I hope i'll be okay, this is the first time i've taken the plane in a couple of years, maybe more, before 9-11 so i don't know how security's gonna be. all i know is i've seen worse lines in phillipines and korea's customs. oh boy, long at that.
i'm at owrk so i don't know if my cd's burned rights, i left in process of burning. i noticed people writing about certain topics, and since i dont usually like chatting at IM (I haven't in 4 years, and I was IM-ing on AOL in 93, got tired of feeling attached to the computer like THAT) or on Forums (i was on Giant robot's chats for awhile and realized there are a lot of misogynistic pigs on that forum) . but i guess the question i wanted to answer is what anime started it out for you and what followed?
It all started with Voltron, macron 1, and captain harlock. it was all interesting, and I liked it. then came ROBOTECH and i was hooked. it was mainly the storyline. so human, and compelling. i was never so enthused or obsessed with anything else.
i liked bubblegum crisis, and while i was never really a fan of akira, i liked the concept and artwork. so yeah, that's my story. -

so i did three banners with dapnhe in the brilliant blue characters. everyone except the main one, because frankly, i don't really like the main characters. the others are much sexier. anyhow if you see the ones with the tags-brilliant. (not original but makes sense), something about fangirls, and one that says-i saw an amv so hot i got a tan...that's mine.

please don't tell me that was the actual last episode of cowboy bebop last night on adult swim!!.... i teared up after edward walked away with ein. i'm going to have to sit at watch the series, marathon style. i won't be able to watch tonight because i work until 11...yeah fun fun. maybe i'll do a banner tonight.

have to make a list of stuff to bring to vegas. i bought my bro an outfit but i think i mentioned that already.

okay so i took an early lunch and wandered over to circuit city. but not after finally finding out hte name of the toy hobby store, called sun. and i think i'm going to look for a hairdresser in chinatown. now, don't diss because i may very well be successful and finaly get a haircut meant for me.
at cc i hardcored eyed the portable dvd player on sale. i sooo wanted it because it plays vcds too and you know what that means....nonstop anime. but i got a cd player and even though i set my budget the cashier gave me a short reason to get an mp3 cd player. you can burn over 100 songs on one CD and that in my head added up to saving a lot of cd's. so i was sold because it was twenty bucks more but it also comes with a neat headphone set w/remote. none of that standard crap.
talked to my estranged friend j, who is having serious probs with her girl. as in, they broke up because she got beat up by her. that just makes me mad, because violence is not EVER necessary. but we're meeting with s on tuesday to talk and screen the film together for the first time. s and i are making writing exchanges and playtime for our dogs.
i accomplished A LOT today, and it's only 2. wow. now i'm listening to weezer. island in the sun...how appropiate considering it's pouring and freezing right now.
