today is my second day off in a month. wow, i almost don't know what to do with myself. I am actually going to get started digitizing and lining up stuff for the MV i'm working on. I had this really lame entry that got deleted, so good riddance, i sounded kind of dumb. but the summary of it is i'm testing out some new editing systems my computer coudln't handle before, but it was weak sauce. now i have more memory and a video card. wowser...

so today i went to see my x classmate up the street he works at a pretty known post facility and he hooked me up iwth a good deal on dubs. I will be helping him out on two of his films that he's producing. He's a cool guy and definitely has the profession thing going on. I truly appreciate that, because it's very important to keep heads intact during production. It's amazing how people starting crying over gaffer's tape. yeah....
so now i'm fully relieved and will have a drink tonight to celebrate the finished film. my horoscope says i should, and it pretty much is on point with my situations. yea! yahoo horoscope.
so tomorrow i'm hoping to work on teh dvds with al, my pal. and then clean up my drive. I'm going to start digitizing on sunday for the anime music video i'm working on.
wondercon is happening in a couple of months and i'm extremely excited about going. I have been since I was 9, and I'm ready for an Ova fest. woohoo 3 days of fun. yeah, I may take time off. -

I officially finished my short film last night right before midnight, as in, I wil not longer touch it even though I'm having thoughts on sound still. I'm making it permanent by making dubs for it next door tomorrow or next week, depending how long it takes my classmate to respond., who is a manager there.
Now all i'm doing is just splitting up the footage to burn on cd since I don't have a dvd-rw to put in. I was thinking of making short cuts to dub, because I could sneak in to school to make betas and have my friend al help me create dvds...but I just want it done with little effort. I'm sooo completely expired from this horrible film that I'll do anything to get rid of it and get it out there. It's gonna set me back 230+ bucks but I don't care anymore at this point. Making films is expensive.
I wanted very much to cut the short down to ten minutes but i found it completely impossible without risking good shots and time for actors and pacing.
So hopefully sunday I will finish unloading all the footage off my hard drive and work on 3D projects now, and anime MVs of course, like I've been wanting to. I still have to compress :30 scenes for the website and create the page. well, I'll think about it sunday.

the series i plan to use will be from the new generation for my first few videos because last weekend i sat and watched the whole series through and i saw a lot of great scenes to incorporate into a theme.
for the most part my plan is to not use songs longer than 4:00 because i will be working off of themes and subplots. i also plan only to use indie rock songs because...well, i noticed linkin park already is way, way over used. haha...kidding, i'm more an indie rock person and i think that there images already associated with popular songs for me take the project seriously, because i already watch too many music videos.
i thought of a revision to my opening credits last night and wasnt' planning to use one but credits in front seem popular and consistent so i might as well stamp my work since it might end up floating on the net.

i must say that the winners definitely deserved their awards. i have yet to see the lesbian video though. i can't believe it won in two categories.
i died watching chihuahua. its real funny. the ones i gave three were okay, i think the timing is off on some of them, but the videos aren't bad.
i have a couple i really want to work on. i've fallen in love with a couple fo songs that would be best for what i have in footage. the thing is my drive is full of my short now so i'm going to finish the audio"(it's taken me a year and i've become ot loathe this projct) but i'll be sending them off to film festivals by the end of the week so i need to start choppin....
