Little update

I'm heavily tied up in school affairs but I did manage to rip the Akira footage meaning that I have all the stuff I need to make my video. So on to the next step ... something I haven't done before (like most things on this video ... I'm still learning as I go along) ... STORYBOARDING. That's right, I'll map out every scene in the movie. And besides the very essential special effect which will pretty much define the video I had the most wicked idea on editing the source footage to something never seen before. If I can achieve only 1/10th of my ideas on this video it should be better than any of my previous work... I think.
I'm alos planning on a nifty little release which will acompany the new video, stay tuned ;)

Ladies and gentelmen:
Today the process of making a new AMV has started (on the same old piece of sh*t computer). The concept has been in my head for quite a while and the song has been sitting on my HDD for even longer but I just couldn't find a suitable anime. So I made a rather akward decision which I hope I'm not going to regret ... I'm going to use Akira AGAIN. I was rather hesitant to do so at first but it's really the only anime that has what I'm looking for. The thing I'm afraid of is that I'll upstage "Technoshock" alot so people will just see that as my piece of crap video while it really isn't bad. The other thing is I really didn't want to use the same anime twice but there just isn't an alternative. So here's a little fact sheet.
Anime: Akira
Music: Agitated - Muse
Title: None so far (I listed it under working title because I couldn't come up with anything)
Concept: Rather basic, but never seen before, if I accomplish what I want to accomplish you'll all be in for something really new (I'm not saying good cause I can't judge that yet)
Release date: August is the latest month it'll be released in since I want to have it at AWA.
That's all ... I'll keep you posted.

I actually programmed for 12 hours today O_O, I am now officially brain dead.
Anyhow I've never watches as much anime as I am right now I was watching 5 series simultaniously, but I finished saikano today ... still no footagr for my next video .... grrr ... why couldn't Saikano contain graphic violence.
Now Berserk and Hellsing are on my list... enough graphic violence but could I build a plot and is there enough love? - One episode at a time 2003-03-27 10:13:17 Watched episode 7 of saikano today, still no footage I'm looking for grmbl...

Not dead, repeat not dead!

People who think I'm dead ... I'M NOT. The thing is life is busy, really busy at the moment. I try to get an hours worth of AMV stuff done a day though. Currently I'm going through 2 anime to make a selection for my next music video which has yet to be titled. I'm watching Saikano (I've seen 6 of the 13 eps and there is plenty of love but there's no graphical violence, which is pretty much 75% of my next video) and FLCL (which I've seen before but am watching again) one of the two will probably be the footage for my next video.
The exiting thing about my new video is that I have a concept which actually is not reliant on the anime's story or characters, I just need to use the animation to further my ideas (this was the major critique on my first two videos). I can actually imagine the entire video before my eyes which is really exciting. Furthermore I plan to make a video which is so insane that it will prohibit me from ever making action videos again, I assure you that what I'm attempting is really obvious but has (for some reason) never be attempted in AMV making.
On another note, after this video I'm going to do two really provocotive and odd videos, so this might be your last chance to see my "normal" and straightforward side of editing.
