WOW!
Ian's interview both inspired me and shocked me. My name was mentioned as one of the new young guns, I was absolutely thrilled! Since my report is (finally coming) to an end I can get started on a new video and prove him right! I'm also really inspired by his "Don't force the anime and music to be friends, fiind a concept and match the two" idea, neat.
I also watched Transcending love for the first time today ... WHAT? That must have taken forever to make. Tainted donuts eat your heart out! My compliments to Vlad for an awesome job! -
Hiatus

Ok I'm officially coming back from my Hiatus, I finsihed my AMV workshop for the local convention and will be mailing it later today, with that out of my hair I can start focussing on making videos again, I currently have two lined up:
1. A real AMV! O_O X doen to Showbiz by (you guessed it) MUSE. This will be my first attempt at anything with lyrics so it should be scary, I have a real killer idea for the ending aswell.
2. A side project Fight club to yes please by (sigh) MUSE. This song just fits too perfectly, I have a ton of ideas for this.
Ok these are officialy my last MUSE videos for a while, I really have some great ideas to Radiohead/Cooper temple clause/Tom Waits/Sigur ros which should go "oustide lines" as my studio name says. I promiss that within my next 4 videos I'll make atleast 2 that will move boundaries/scare you shitless.
Not that anyone gives a shit about me as a video creator but I hope the showbiz one will put me on the map...whatever, even if it doesn't, my personal life is very interesting at the moment ;) - OMGOMGOMG 2003-01-10 13:55:22 I just came up with the most freaky, fucked up and weird video idea ever! You thought that "Technoshock" was weird, brace yourself for my upcoming production, it isn't even going to use a r eal song for christs sake. I'm so fucking excited. I'll keep you posted on this upcoming 1:30 picece of mayhem, this time I guarantee I'll scare everyone!

Wow thanks to the Kevin Caldwell discussion in the general section (of all things) my intrest in video editing has actually been sparked again, I really want to start something new soon, since AWA is my goal and that's in december I have several ideas I'm working with (ignore the entries which haven't premiered yet they'll probably change anyway):
- Fight club/Yes please (MUSE) (little spin off real action stuff, I might enter it into to the free section of AWA)
- Gasraki/DDR (if I win the lottery ... like I ever win anything)
- Something with either Showbiz or Cave live (MUSE again, I need to finish my AMV/MUSE trilogy)
- Something to "What's he building in there" by Tom waits (not sure what this would be very abstract)
- Something to old radiohead stuff (like "Stop whispering") or new radiohead stuff (like "Like spinning plates"), it all depends on what style of video I'm aiming for.
- A short movie (very very sketchy ideas, I might look into this when I get depressed again ^^)
None of these are definate things so I'll be updating when I actually start on something (starting the DDR is beyond my power but the fight club thing is definatley coming, I will have the footage soon).
One last thing ... I need to finish the titles for the AMV workshop here, I have the concept and 1/4 is done so just 3/4 more, a little intro movie and then burn burn burn and send away to the con. -

Wow I really need to keep my journal updated more often, I used to do it on a daily basis but I really can't be arsed to do so anymore. Esspecially since most of the members whom's journal I read have migrated to livejournal.
Anyway, what's going on? I've been checking out a friends DVD collection (he has a lot of anime) to check out if I can find a decent (not overused) series ... I'm currently checking out gasaraki, I wonder... When I find my anime I might start my next AMV soon.
I'll also be starting my first live-action (fight club) music video, all pending on when it gets in (it has been shipped).
Last there's the AMV panel. I've been changing the concept behind that. I'm not going to do any talking anymore. Instead I'll be making an hour-long movie type thing with all the videos consecutivley. I started making titles yesterday with the end credits. There's only one small mistake in it so far but I'll be fixing that later today...
