Video: God today was unproductive :bleh:, well yesterday evening I did a quick analysis of the song I'm using on my new AMV which wasn't to hard, since it consists of two riffs and drums and screaming. I don't really want to analyze too much since this vid has to be about feeling and the feel I get with a song. I didn't actually do anything today, I couldn't put my mind to it. I'm going to have to come up with a solid concept though, since I can't make a vid about nothing ... or can I? (Thinks back to seinfeld) ... no it definatley needs a plot or theme of some sort. I also had a nice chat session with AD yesterday about the 40 track madness that his video is and I gave him the song I'm using on my vid ... and he liked it, now there's a surprise, I hadn't counted on anyone liking it. Pleasent surprise at that ^_^. I'll start doing some theme stuff during classes on friday or something (at times when I'm bored and not paying attention and all), this vid is starting to come round! About time I hauled my lazy editing ass into action
School stuff: I shold have programmed some stuff today for the game we're making, I did program some stuff but then I had to learn about multi-threading and passed, maybe tommorow. Besides that I've been hard at work making create queries for a database project and I've been reading up on some economic crap for tommorow. Last but not least I still have to do some doofy analysis for some class and I have to do my neural networks (AI) stuff *feels migrane approaching fast*
Other: Wow this journal has gotten fun to write in again, who would have reckoned. Anyhow I read mexicanjunior's review again, I haven;t watch the vids yet but the review was thourougly enjoyable as ever (thanks MJ ^_^). Besides that I continued my endevour to learn the guitar and in doing so wedged two songs into my head (get out damn you): Nature_1 and The end of the muse concert (the song bliss) at pinkpop. I still suck at playing guitar though, besides that I also have stuff I can't get out of my head ... things keep improving -_-. I got a nice compliment though today, a teacher told me I should become a writer, oh wait that was 2 days ago, did I already write that, I can't recall... ah well it was a cool compliment and it's stuck in my brain. -

I've decided to get back into editing, my coup d'etat vid wasn't going anyhwere, so I decided to throw it overboard and litteraly commit artistic suicide. I am now going to make a video that will either be horribly slaughtered, or liked by very weird people. I was going to gun for an award with my next vid, but guess what? FUCK AWARDS. AMV's are for my artisic endevours only and if people don't get wtf kind of weird video I made, to bad for them.
First let me enlighten why this vid will be so abstract. As you probably know my last vid was extremely mainstream (granted it used an akward song, but was pretty straightforward). The coup d'etat video I'm working on is also pretty mainstream (though it has a viable idea I still might exploit one day).
I decided to go all overboard when I heard a song that stole my heart. Execution commentary by muse (hey so I'm a muse freak, so sue me). It's the hardest song ever to come by since it's the third song on a single they released, which appeared in 4 different versions and it's only on one. I'm going to have to use a converted MP3 for the time being until I find someone who will send me a crystal-clear CD rip of the song. Anyhwo, the point is, everybody is going to hate this song! That's the beauty of it ^_^, the song mainly consists of a bass playing 2 riffs at varying speeds and some drums for 2:30 which isn't all that bad per se. Up until the point you add the out of tune second guitar which sometimes surfaces (purposely done, these guys are pro's) and the eventual screeching noise. The real beauty is that the lyrics consist of the singer yelling words that don't even exist and noises into a megaphone. People said the singer in the last song sounded like he was a cat being strangeled (which is coincedntaly the same singer as this song) but this time they'll go berserk. God I love challenging the status quo.
After the song choice it wasn't that hard to decide to throw all video editing principals to date overboard and just go berserk with scenes and effects, of course I haven't done any of this yet but expect the worst. I've never seen a video as chaotic and weird as the vid I have in my head, so it might flop gigantically (prolly will), but personally I don't give a rat's ass, at least I can say ... I've lived (oh wait got a little PSX carried away there), I mean at least I can say I've made something really really FUBAR!
On to my ficticious life on this world: I watched Muse play live at Pinkpop yesterday (behind the PC via webcast ofcourse -_-) they ruled, they were named the best band of pinkpop (by me atleast), they were amazing! go here:

The world has definatley gone to hell if deranged people can kill people because of their beliefs. I never would have voted for the guy, but it's so wrong to kill a person because of his beliefs. I am utterly disgusted by this story. Where is the boundary? Killing politicians may be common practice in banana republics, but in a country like holland which seems so safe things like this can't be real. Violence has reached a new low in this world and it really has to stop, but what can you do? Try stopping it and you'll only get killed yourself. I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to cut this short as I can't even begin to stress my detest for the matter... - Java sucks! 2002-05-05 19:27:54 I'm having the largest headache ever trying to figure out WTF my teammate programmed, it's just aggitating, oh well I have all week to figure out that stuff. It's nawing away at my brains and my time of which I have precious litte as is (time, not brains ^_^). I have so much stuff to do, build AMVR, work on my vid ... fuck! *Stops and goes to bed because of frustration :(*

It's really been a long time since my last journal entry, what can I say? I've been busy. I have 2 weeks off now but I've got a ton of school stuff. I actually get to make 2 games these next few weeks, finally I get some hand-on experience. The first is a little game I was thinking of making with visual basic based on something I saw about 8 yeasr back. It basically contains 2 spaceships and the idea is that you kill eachother, hard non? The other is online foosball, which is being made in Java which should prove to be tougher. I'll keep you updated on both. Bedsides that I pretty much wrapped up the rest of my homework which is good. I still need to get AMVR done *headache* start on a site for my soccer team and even more stuff. Besided that I'm broke as hell *sighs*
On a video related front I'm currently editing and tweaking and retweaking the first ten seconds of my vid, this is going to be a long process...
