- Pretty productive 2002-03-20 13:57:29 So I went to school today and felt like a complete ass, because the guy who made us come wasn't there and we had nowhere to work >_<. So that was another 2 hours of my life wasted + getting up early. So then I went home and did like 6 hours of straight homework, my eyes then looked like @_@. At 7:00 PM I was done with my homework, so I got to relax. Played some ISS 64, watched 2 eps of cowboy bebop and played my massive addiction over at www.vliegmetamstelnaarglasgow.nl (don't even bother going if you don't know dutch). At the end I decided to finally get some MV stuff done (about time I got started)... so I did a basic map op the song (a really basic map) and made a layout of the story. The story actually fits quite well with the lyrics of the song (I didn't plan this I just found out), which is a good thing. So I'll start mapping the song in detail soon, then finding out where to put the plot twists in the song (which locations) and which clips to use where. Then the editing starts, because I intend to use some scenes which never happend in Akira this should be a long session. Half a year at the least ... oh well, at the end I should have a pretty video to put my name on the map in AMV land if all goes well...

Well, I finally named my baby. No I was not pregnant, it's note even possible for guys to be pregnant nowadays, figures. Anyway what I mean is I finally gave my music video a name, it spoils a little of the plot, but that's as much as you get on the plot from me as you can expect. I also spent my entire weekend watching blackadder, how come I din't discover this earlier?

Hmm, Lifehost is also abandoning ship. It looks like Cryptonight is crashing and burning, they showed real talent and I hope they get back on track in the future.
As for my video, nothing doing yet due to my extreme school program, I should use this week for mapping the song and planning the story. I should combine the story with song and lyrics the week after. Then the editing begins. I'm really going to give this video everything, I want to enter it in a (the only) dutch con next year (beginning) and I want to win ... contrary to last year where I think I should have won, I also want people to have no doubt whatsoever anymore... - My final decision 2002-03-13 16:01:51 Ok, So I sat down listened to all of the songs again and the lyrics and started canning the ones that didn't fit my "plot". So of all the Muse songs up there, I ended up with the only radiohead song I listed "Paranoid Android". This is my final decision, no more changes! I'll have to get really artsy-fartsy to get this video to work, but to quote an infamous video: "Yes, I'll make this video work" ^_^. The reason I decided not to go with any of the Muse songs ... "New born" and "Cave" didn't have fitting lyrics, whereas "Showbiz" and "Uno" had too many repeating lyrics (the same sentences over and over) which would have made the video incredibly dull. Now I just have to get Akira to work with Paranoid Android at 6:00 ... hmmm, time to map the beats/lyrics/plot...
