- Stuff 2002-02-12 18:15:22 Some video stuff. Basically it's done. The last encode in TMPGEnc is running as we speak, it has the weirdest settings ever (note to self: never edit PAL footage in 29,97 fps).Resolution is: 320*256 (directly downsizing the DVD resolution) I used deinterlace Odd field(adaptive) so text would look ok. And I used a wierd ass 2125 2pass-VBR. Well I'm looking for shiniryu right now so I can put it up. I'm also going to have to update that info page real soon. Expect the video to be up tommorow so you can crap on it in a review (if you wouldn't mind).
- Starting to feel better 2002-02-11 19:18:28 Ok so I started talking to guys who attended the con and asked their opinions about my video the main thing was "lame theme" which it actually is since this was in no way intended for release at a con just a way to get started in AMV without wasting my ideas on a useful anime. So I'm kinda over my pissdness. Real life has begun again and now the final release of my DBZ video will be sometime this week...
- PISSED!!! 2002-02-10 07:10:23 I could make this long or short but I'll keep it long since I'm just that pissed. So I enter my video in a con but I miss the deadline so I'm assured I can enter it at the con. I take my camcorder with me and head for the con at 17:30 only to notice my friend forgot to burn CD's so we catch the 18:52 train, bringing us at the con at 21:50, 10 minutes before the contest begins. I ask for Niels whom I'd mailed a bunch of times he's busy hosting a panel so we wait till 22:10 10 minutes after the contest should have started so I ask for him again. at 22:20 I get to rush in having missed the first video (which I heard was utter crap at the end). My video gets run next, it looked great and everything worked, I even got some laughs for my scott mezler quote in the beginning. Yet at the end ... no applaus??? Then a flash movie comes on which runs like crap and is utter crap and me and my friends laugh so hard. Things like "At moments like this you wonder where the competition is" and "Is anything going to happen" are said. The song even ends a good minute before the movie so that was really utter crap. The last video had a far better video than mine with that cute hamster guy getting killed but was horribly edited, so I think BINGO. Then the audience gets to judge -_-. I now know this doesn't work. There were like 50 people in the room. I had 3 buddies with me and two I just made so we were applauding like idiots, the rest of the room were fairly quite. The first movie was even skipped cause it sucked so much. Then the flash movie gets it's turn, the audience is louder than my video, while the last hamster vid got an equal applause. What happened was that the video was made by several people and they had quite a few friends, thus extreme biasdness, meaning I lose to an utter peice of crap. I talk to one of the makers (who I give a vcd which I had over) and she says "your video was cool but I have to clap for my own harder", it just sucks. Well atleast I got in for free thanks to a cool dude in managment and I got tons of cool footage for a mini documentary so it wasn't all bad. We actually slept for 2 hours in the hotel lobby and caught the first bus back and I just got home at 12:00...

So I had to finish my video before the con so I decided to have a last run at finishing it, I must say I'm rather pleased with what I got, that is I saw thw low quality preview I made. I now exported the video from premiere and am busy using virtual dub to convert it to NTSC for the VCD for the con. Expect the video to be released soon.

2. Stop picking on ErMaC I find it rather appaling. - I'm drunk off my ass 2002-02-05 19:58:52 I've got a con on saturday and I still need to tweak most of my video ... I also have school wednesday and friday and I'm drunk off my ass now. Con rules say you can't be drunk on the con. I see it as "you can't appear drunk". All AMV makers who get drunk alot mail me :P
