Update 4
2003-10-06 14:31:16
I finally finished some tweaking on second 3 of the video, making 3 seconds and 9 frames of the video perfect (no way in hell I'm going to change what I have now that would take forever), I layed down the next scene (which is 1 second and 10 frames long) which is ready to be treated to some more scene by scene editing ... maybe I'll make next AWA *Is very glad the song is only 2:40 long*

Update 3
2003-09-26 04:19:28
Up to 3 seconds an 9 frames now and the video is shaping up nicely, I should make it to the local con's contest, I hope I can keep up the innovative style without going overly crazy with effects or without falling into a boerdom trap with only the same effect as I've seen so many videos do before. On technoshock the first 10 seconds are genius, the best I've done yet, but several parts just felt as filler, I'm hoping that doesn't happen again...

Update 2
2003-09-24 12:26:47
I found a little trick in premiere which saved some time and some use of after effects/photoshop. I'm now up to 1 second and 20 frames, and I'm very satisfied with what I have so far!

Update 1
2003-09-23 15:39:58
I've decided to become a rather inactive community member and focus on editing first before I deserve having a big mouth at all ... I've got up to 1 seond and 20 frames (on a 24fps project) of my new video done half-right 11 frames are now done perfectly, this is sure going to be a pain in the ass long editing experience.

I don't know why, but as of late I've been doing some pondering, about the whole AMV community and the direction it's heading:
Basically AMV's started out as this nice hobby for people who wanted to create nice yet simple movies. Then came the digital age, and for a while it was good. Video's were coming out at a nice pace and people where pushing the boundaries and making great videos. Then suddenly and gradually AMV's became to big. Hoards of users with no ideas except for standard formulae stolen from the various video's they'd seen appeared making nothing but mediocre attempts at something that looked inovative. Sure they had the nice timings, the nice encodings, the nice lip synchs and the nice lyrical synchs, but in a way all the videos were so predictable, it was simply horrid. And as of today more and more thoughtless poor videos appear which on the surface seem nice and shiny but are really very poor. How about some more innovation people? There are really just a few editors who can suprise me nowadays. I'd even dare to say that 99 out of the next 100 videos to be released will be either piss poor or a total rip off of something done before.
...
This community could really use an injection of creativity
