I've had some tragedy in my life and may be out of AMVs for a few weeks. I won't go into details, but me, my wife and my baby daughter are fine. Look for an update weekly still, if anyone is even interested, although there won't be much to report, I'm sure. Later.

If I don't get with some of the guys to play LotR Risk Saturday afternoon, I'm going to spend some time on my Macross AMV (maybe a little time on both of them).
I got the first two DVDs of RahXephon from GameStop, used, for $6.50 each. They don't have the original cases, but I don't mind. I just wanted to see some of the series to see whether I (and my wife) will like it. $13 and some change isn't too bad to see whether we like the series or not.
RahXephon isn't too bad. By the way, if you're like me and wondered how exactly to say the name, they pronounce it "rah-ze-fon" in the DVDs I've watched. The art is good and the story isn't too bad.
Well anyway, back to work. Just wanted to update my journal for the week. Later.

I didn't finish. I ended up having a good time with my friends over the weekend and didn't even work on my AMVs. I did get to show them my new hobby though. They thought it was pretty cool. Well, I gotta go - stuff to do. Later.

My Macross Video is still only about half done.......

I don't think I'll make it. I wanted to finish recreating that one by Memorial Day, but seeing as it's only a week away and I have a million and one things to do, I doubt it will happen. If only Pinnacle Studio hadn't corrupted the original one I did. I could have easily remastered it and put it up by Memorial Day.
I'm going to look at it tonight and see if I can further the project along. I think I had trouble with one of my source files last time. I'll have to look into that. I may have to rip that segment again. Then I can continue putting the scenes back together again.
We have friends visiting over the holiday weekend too, so I don't know how much I'll actually work on my AMVs over the weekend. Yet another reason I don't think I'll make my personal deadline.
I've hit a creative block on my Hakkenden AMV, so it's on hold for now anyway. I have a second RK idea that I want to flesh out and continue working on, now that I have more footage to work with. I need to go through the Cowboy Bebop footage at some point to see if I can flesh out another concept. Too many ideas and not enough work - my biggest pitfall.
On a positive note, I off-loaded my Cowboy Bebop source files to an external hard drive until I need them (about 30 GB). Now I have a little room to breath. Well, back to work for now.

Baby and other hobbies..........

Chloe is a handful, but not too bad. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I've also been enjoying some of my other hobbies this past week. I started to look at my Macross AMV this week, but it was too late that evening and I decided not to get into it. I'm wondering if I'll finish that video by Memorial Day. Oh well, anime can't compare to your own child. ;)
