    I've officially started working on the Lodoss War Essentials remake that I so desperately want to do.

    I've asked a few people on the .org to give me a hand, namely Scantilla and GeneStarwind(ungodly number with 2's and 7's) to drop me a remake oriented review to help decide how best to reinginer the behemoth.

    I've ripped the entire Lodoss OAV set (original, not the crappy second season... Bleh) and I am having a ball with the de-interlacing. I found a really good interlacer, but it is still leaving me with what I think is a slightly blended source... but the scale lines have all disapeared and I am left with smooth clean motion (with the exception of really slight ghost images, they get worse with fast singular motion...) Figuring out which is the best smoother to minimize my macro blocking and my dot crawl is driving me nuts. I don't want to loose the details, but I need the compressablility and clarity of picture so badly, considering it's projected length (approx 10 minutes...)

    Other than that, I'm going review farming and taking a break from Avsynth scripting. Oklahoma tommorow, then hopefully I will have everything set to start edditing sometime around the 12th. I'm busy during this July month... I hate vacation, no time to bum around.... 
  • Whats next? 2004-07-31 19:50:44 After my last Massive Project (Lodoss War Essentials) I am pooped. Comming up on my training schedule is a lot of field work, so I am just popping in this weekend to upload the BEAST and get new vids to kill time and study.

    Couple new ideas floating around, but I am going to figure out how to work quality controll on my captures before I build the next 'Must Do' project idea.

    Four days of nothing But - It's Like a Shoooooooting Star.......

    Finished my first solid anime video. Something I hide behind "I am new at this...." So I look forward to some serious critiques of this peace.

    I just got back from the Mohabi(sp) desert in California and I am going down to Coronado on Monday for a month long Swimming Course. I will be bringing my computer with me and perhaps I'll start on that Spawn project I've been toying with for a while...

    I think Windows Movie Maker has one video left in it before I need to upgrade to a beter software package. It has more features than I originally thought but it just doens't have the flexibility to create some of those WOW!(tm) effects that are in the high end videos. That and I seem to lose quality during compression and it really really doesn't like it when you have one project with like - a million little effects and clip chops...

    - Still havn't found Wings of the Honiamese(sp) =(

    Need to find it on DVD before float hits...  
  • Discovered New Project 2004-05-16 02:10:48 Heh, banging my head against the wall to get "Clean" video rips on Reign the conquorer (sp). Not certain if I should use DVD2AI to do a direct compression to WMA file or go the long rout and convert it to a DVD2 file thingie... ehh...

    I just hope the damn thing doesn't crash on me this time...

    Built my standardized video into to Gimson Wizardry Studios, Yeah me. I am very pleased with the results of that two hour ordeal for ten seconds of footage... yeach...

  • First up... 2004-05-08 20:44:35 I finnaly got around to uploading my first creation.
    I think it workedout really well. I remember staying up entirely too late and working most of my precious weekend away hashing it together.

    Ehh, My writting takes priority though... As soon as I find a DVD copy of Wings of the Honiomiese (sp) I'll have my next project up and running.
