  • Finally a Perfect 10 2012-03-27 13:05:32 With over 300 ops I've never given a perfect score until today. I'd say that's worth a journal entry in the hopes that more people will see it. It's truly an amazing vid to watch.

    I gotta admit I love it when I op a video and the creator writes back. Even if what they say is negative or makes me look stupid its nice to have the feedback from the creator.

  • Misc. Thoughts 2009-05-13 07:52:42 So I am looking at all the videos I have rated and I cant find one for 2005. Its like AMV.org fell off the map. I find that really wierd. I originally entitled this journal entry "What happened to 2005".

    As I do my op'ing of videos I cant help but wonder why Sound Quality is even its own subject. I think you could merge sound and video quality together and it wouldnt impact videos or the opinions at all. I am going to create a thread about this in the site help portion of the forums.

    I also think from time to time why I give opinions. It used to be the top opinion giver. Now its just something fun to do in between WoW and my other hobbies. Especially late at night or early in the morning.

    I have a thread entitled "Free Ops Every Evening" and so far I have been keeping up with the videos requested. I hope I can maintain the pace at which people want videos op'd. I'm worried that I will run out of steam or some such like I seem to have done in the past.

    God I'm tired but I keep getting a craving for rootbeer late at night. I really need some sleep so I'm gonna try to do that now. 
  • Maintenance day, Bored at Work 2009-05-12 06:51:53 So I'm sitting here at work being bored and having very little to do. For those that dont know I am an EMT Firefighter in Utah. Its more boring than it sounds and when its not boring it means something dreadful has happened. When I am not on a call I can do whatever I wish so long as certain tasks have been completed. I work 12 hour shifts 3-4 days a week. So, sometimes, I do work more than a 40 hour week at times and less than 30 hours while at the same salary rate.

    Maintenance day means no World of Warcraft right now, which isnt a big deal and the only reason I am mentioning it is because I was leveling a druid named Revenance on the Frostmane server. I've leveled a druid once before a long time ago so the experience is rather new. I'm leveling as feral and its alright but its rather boring because all I do is stealth, ravage, rend, claw, claw, rip or ferocious bite. And when my health gets low I cast some hots. Its mind numbingly boring. On another WoW note, I'm thinking about going to Blizzcon again. It would be fun but at the same time it will be fairly expensive. The ticket is $125 and hotel accommodation is roughly $350 for a few nights. Then I have a flight. Granted I can spread the payments over time... I might purchase a ticket then sell it.

    I'm downloading a couple videos at the moment, Jihaku and Naruto's World, both can be found in the top most op'd vids. I am browsing the forums for some videos to download and will also watch Acronycal Massacre and Advent Crisis. As always I will leave an op and suggest everyone watch the videos and support the authors.

    I'm not sure why but I'm thinking about donating to the org again. Why? I used to donate but I havnt come here much so I'm not sure if I should. Still, shouldnt I donate because this is something that I am interested in and is something that I have been involved with for quite awhile? Hmmmm, perhaps I will donate a small amount and then if I am coming here more than I think I will be, I can donate more to appease my conscience.
