The title of this journal entry is taken from my page-a-day calendar but somehow it fits my feelings on the AMV front.
After taking an enforced break for a week or so and restarting the video I seriously hope I can produce something worth watching. I won't, but frankly that's just a matter of other people's opinion. If I was making videos for other people I'd have given up by now.
Ah well back to work after a long weekend and back to AMV making when I get a chance. The problem with losing the contents of my hard disk apart from having to restart my AMV, is that I lost all the fansubs I'd collected... and so now have a completely different set to watch (The guy fixing my computer has a terabyte of them).
It will be a week or to before I finish this video. -
Computer working but...

YES! I have a computer again, and (for today) a fast internet connection to use. I also have Premiere installed and all my tempory video files seem to be intact. "W00t!" as they say. What I don't have is the mp3 I was using for music and I left the CD at work. Fortunately I know chris has a copy of the mp3 that I gave him. unfortunatly he has taken apart the machine that's storing it (along with everything else I asked him to get for me.
Still as a wise man once put it as one door closes, another hits you in the face. -

I finally got my work computer back! It's only taken a week and a half to reinstall windows. I'm taking the afternoon off to get my home machine fixed (hopefully that will be quicker)
By Monday I will have restarted my "current" AMV and be back in the saddle, as it were.
DarkNinja75 seems to have a worm on his computer from what I can tell by reading his journal. He really ought to update his firewall and then get rid of it. I never go online without an up to date firewall ever since the MsBlast worm took every computer belonging to every member of my family (and guess who they asked to fix it) including my own. -

It looks like I will be going off to Northampton for the weekend (earlier if my boss aproves my holiday form) to get a new hard disk. Hopefully I'll restart production on my video (thankfully the clips are on the other drive) on Monday or Tuesday.
I feel my urge to kill subsiding and a firmer grasp on sanity. In fact I think I could throttle my sanity if I had more of an urge to kill.
Just checking in. I know one or two people like my videos and would hate me to stop working on AMVs. The rest of you will just have to put up with it. -

Just as my machine was recovering from loosing a motherboard, it lost it's hard disk and with it all work on my AMV and a large number of unbacked up files.
To make matters worse I don't feel in the mood to watch anime (or at least the anime I have on DVD rather than the fansubs on my computer) So I've been reduced to coming into work early and looking keen. Still worth it to see the look on my boss' face this morning.
