EK - version 3, even funky, is the best - however, none of them look like you. Make sense?
mp3 files work in Linux. There is hope for me yet. And the site to download that Shimauta file has lots of neat little goodies all its own. But I must admit - I thought German and Japanese was a fun combination, but I completely missed how fun Spanish and Japanese are together...must be the proximity I live with. Wonder how ID and treeprincess are doing with both Greek and Japanese? That MUST be a trip.
Between taxes, trips and bills, I feel like I'm bleeding money. *sigh*
And the .com went for it - after June 1st, I'll be able to talk about it openly, but until then, it's a total ram learning curve for XML. I wanted it - I got it. Hang on for dear life and hope I learn quick.
Got curious on fanfiction.net, decided to post our one final chaper of the one story Jim and I are working on - and the reviews are just raaaaving over it. *blush* Oh, my. I guess I might know what I'm doing after all.
o_o
^_^*
Now when the freak am I going to have chapter 2 ready? AAUUUUGH!!!

EK - JUST there as in just won't be there in five days....*sigh* As in kiss the rest of the con schedule for this year goodbye. I don't think I'll even make Anime-Expo at this rate - and it's just down the street from here.
And I totally missed the H video controversy - wow, how totally American of you, Phade. That's not a slam - just an observation.
Let me get this straight - violence is okay, sex is not. Or more to the point, sex beyond the point of ..hmm.. normal boundaries?
*thinks a moment*
Back me up on this, those of you overseas - it's kind of the other way around, outside the States, isn't it?
Sex is fine - a healthy interest even encouraged. The more - inventive - stuff only hinted at until the kiddies are in bed. But violence is OUT. That concept was considered the innocence-killer, not sex and sensuality issues.
However, as they were fond of putting it in Broadcast Ethics 401 so long ago - you can't yell fire in a crowded theater and call it free speech.
I think its completely within reason to restrict access on services such as this website to stuff Phade can't control that we all know is over the top, content-wise. There are plenty of folks (and you know who you are) who would push that concept past the point of reason just to hear the word "NO," loud and clear.
Not that I think the content needs to be squashed - but I doubt I'd be interested in any La Blue Girl vids.
La Blue BOY, now -- *ahem*
Sexuality as a healthy part of the human experience is one of my pet soapbox subjects - so if you want to talk about it, I can discuss ANYTHING (and please try to spell, okay).
But if Phade doesn't think it belongs here - I'm with him. I just find it curious that the violence doesn't come under the same scrutiny - but none of us complained either, how odd.
I find Akira much more disturbing than any anime porn I've ever seen. And I think Akira is a must-have for any collection.
Not to throw the whole burden of ethical behavior on EK, but take a page from her book - she consistently uses good judgement with regard to her audience, and respects their space on issues. I've seen so many artists (many of the progressive rock bands I roadied for, primary example) who absolutely hated their audiences and had only one use for them - as long as they made them famous.
Feh.

Happy Tax Day

Sucks to be broke. Not poor. Broke.
The boss comes in this morning - got a wild hair, he says and bought a new computer.
It's the video editing machine straight from God, I swear it. It's *just* what I would have bought off the shelf to do video editing - with all the bells and whistles.
Now, I love my boss - he's a gadget junkie and wirehead of the finestkind. But he makes 4 times...no, make that 8 times...as much as I do (with good cause, he can do circles around me, tech & business wise) - but today, I have to cave in and admit some serious machine envy.
Then I find out its five days to Chicago...I was JUST there, thank you....
And Grandma wants to see us over Memorial Day.
It took 2.5 hours to get to work this morning because California drivers are scared shitless of water and it rained. And oh yeah, Jim had a blowout Sunday - so off to the tire store we went and spent more money from the little stash we had. HAD.
*GRUMP*
(Thank you God for not killing Jim on Sunday....)
*checks wallet* Pho and beer. Lunch!
So I'll eat grass and weeds until Friday. *shrug* Or something.
